After supposedly dying at the end of Part 3, Jason wakes up in the morgue and heads back to Crystal Lake, where he encounters a new group of vacationing teenagers and the family next door. This time, however, Jason becomes a victim himself.

After dispatching most of the teen's populace, including Back to the Future's Crispin Glover, Jason comes up against Tommy Jarvis, a pre-pubescent monster make-up fanatic played by The Lost Boys' Corey Feldman. Using a machete, Tommy kills Jason once and for all, but loses his sanity in the process, setting up the possiblity of him taking Jason's place.
