| Well "Kiss My Grits!!", I haven't updated the site in awhile. First off, big news, the RECORD IS DONE!! It's not mastered yet, but it's recorded and mixed, and as soon as Mark sends me my copy of the disc I'll upload some new MP3's for ya. Now to the webpage news. Well here's the deal, I've been working on the new site. And it's getting closer to completion. I have the format down, some new pics and a bunch of coolio graphics. I have them uploaded on another server. So now all I have to do is fill in the content. So it should be coming soon!! It will be fairly similar to this site, just new colors, more info, and a little slicker looking. Also I've been updating our MP3 site. Soon it will be, "www.mp3.com/killowatts". The old site, "www.mp3.com/ham" will house all of our older songs, up until Brave New World. Everything newer will be under the Kill-O-Watts mp3 site. Got it? Good! . |
| First off, I just want to say thanks to everyone who has came out to see us on our little mini-tour. It's going great, in fact we've already sold out of all but 1 of the Radiation T-Shirt's so I've ordered more and they should be in by next week, but in the meantime I had some new Kill-O-Watts shirts made up. They have a picture of the man on the front of our site holding the radioactive rock in his hand. Click here to see it --> Scientist T-Shirt Design. We are working on getting buttons and things like that too. If all goes well 1 week from today the album should be all mixed. Then we need to master it and find a label to put it out, or raise a couple grand in a hurry. But one way or another it will be ready by August 1st, I hope. We have a couple of big shows we are working on getting, and I should be posting them soon. So check back often. |

| Well we did it. As of May 28th, HAM will forever be known as "The Kill-O-Watts". Our Sunday May 28th show at the Pizza Works will be our last show as the band HAM. We are retiring our old uniforms and drum head and starting all over with a new name. We've gotten tons of good feedback on the name change idea, so we'd like to say thanks for all the input!! We'll still play the same songs, and we'll still wear uniforms, and dance and jump and kick ass. There's a new website on the way as well as some new Merch for ya. welcome back. First off I just want to say, we are mixing down the new album
on June 14th and 15th. If everything works out, we'll have the new record
ready to sell be the first of August. Now onto the important stuff. We are seriously considering changing our name from "ham" to "The Kill-O-Watts", and I'm wanting some feed back from you all. Here's a few reasons for the possible name change. 01. The name is in use by more than one other band 02. When people first hear our name they cringe, making a poor first impression 03. We've changed members and gotten better as a group and we feel it's time to really go for it and be fresh 04. A newspaper in Champaign said we were silly and goofy and our name fits the image, I think maybe we are more than just silly now 05. The Kill-O-Watts sounds cooler, and has the word Kill in it 06. Ham played way too many shows early on when we were bad and people still remember that from the name 07. Would you go see a band called "ham" if you didn't know us? 08. Changing our name is a cool excuse for new uniforms. We's still be the same band, playing the same songs, just new uniforms and a new name. There is probably more reasons but that's all I can think of right now. I know we used the Kill-O-Watts before for our surf band.
