My name is Jon Arnold. I was born and raised in Upstate, NY. I started my love of photography early, and have been inspired by the world around me to better myself and my equiptment every day. I currently live in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY with my girlfriend Lindsay. We enjoy living in Saratoga quite a bit and hope to settle down here very soon.

We moved to Saratoga in the spring of 2009 after a two year stay in Manchester, VT. Vermont was a great place for a short stay. The scenery was second to none, however the employment opporutunities are near non-existant for anyone thats not independently wealthy. But an exalent place to visit for sure. The Equinox and Aeolus mountains have a large number or hiking and offroading trails, and then theres Lye Brook Falls. Definately plenty to do.

I started my love of photography with my mothers 35mm film camera, and for many years had only that and disposable cameras to learn from. I finally graduated to a digital camera in my late teens and was able to get a love for the convenience and cost saving nature of digital.

I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 a few years ago and started to get more serious about taking picturess and learning photo-finishing techniques in programs like Adobe Photoshop.
I then worked for a company on Stratton Mountain named 'Mountainside Photo' where I was first introduced (hands on) to an SLR camera. Since then I have stepped up my game, and my equiptment, quite a bit.

I aspire to learn every day. I strive to learn new techniques and programs as often as possible.

To try and better myself and my photos.
I signed up to NYIP - New York Institute of Photography, and worked through their course as my first attempt at working with and for professional photographers and getting a more personal and unbiased review of how I was doing as an aspiring photographer. So far I seem to be doing quite well.

I absolutely love Adobe Photoshop and work in that as often as I can. I have a long way to go but believe that I have a pretty good knowledge of Photoshop and that I have a good range of capabilities with the program. I update my arsenal as often as I can through online tutorials and through 'Photoshop User' magazines. You can see some of my digital work through the links on this page.
