"A Not so Crystal Clear Destiny"
What if Sailor Moon had been kidnapped and brain washed by the Negaverse instead of Tuxedo Mask? What would Darien have done? Who would take over as the leader of the Sailor Scouts? How would Serena's family and other friends react to her disappearance? These are just a few of the questions that I intend to answer in this story of what if.

Serena and Darien glared at Malachite who only smirked at them.
"What is your choice Malachite," Serena asked commandingly.
"You are foolish in this form, but you won't be that way for long. My Selenite is coming back to me."
"No she isn't!" Darien growled as he lunged toward Malachite.
"You foolish and weak boy!" Malachite sent Darien flying with a blast of psychic power.
"Arrrggghhhh!" Darien hit the back wall with a sickening thud.
"Darien! NO!!!!" Serena turned to run to her fallen prince.
"Hold princess," Malachite said cruelly, "If you want your beloved prince to live then come to me, stand by my side, and say that you'll be mine and mine alone."
"She closed her eyes, a sad look upon her face. "You'll kill him even if I do agree...How can I trust anything you say?"
"I give you my word, m'lady. I am always true to my word. I know that you may think that we had no code of honor in the Negaverse, but we did. We value our honor," he said all this in a friendly tone and even bowed to Serena afterward.
Serena opened her eyes, tears falling from them. "So that at least he may live, I...I will come...with you..."
Darien groaned, finally regaining enough air to speak. "S...Serena, y-you c-can't...do this...for me..." he coughed and spat some blood onto the floor.
Serena turned her gaze downward, turned, and slowly walked to Darien. "I'm sorry, Darien," she kneeled next to him taking one of his hands into both of hers, "but I can't bare the thought of losing you." Tears streamed down her face. "And I know that he'll brainwash me again, but deep in my heart I'll always love you and that knowledge will allow me to continue on. We'll find each other again and then we'll be together always." She caressed his face, bent down further, and kissed him softly. "Farewell, my prince, I love you."
She made a move to get up, but Darien's hand shot up and grabbed her wrist. "I couldn't bare to live knowing that you were in his arms. So either way we'll be unhappy."
"No, you won't miss what you never knew. You will be normal from now on, without memories of being Tuxedo Mask, the Scouts, or me. All I want is for you to be happy now." She knelt down beside him and kissed him softly again. As they held the kiss, Darien hugged her tightly, helping them both to stand. Darien kept his back to Malachite as though shielding her from him.
"Alright, Cape-boy, that's quite enough there. It's time to let go of MY wife!" Malachite smirked.
Darien began to tremble. He hung his head low so his face could not be seen my Serena.
"What's wrong? Darien?" She asked concerned. She gasped as he took hold of her shoulders.
"Serena, forgive me!" He kissed her quickly, let her go, and spun around to face Malachite. Darien's face was hard and his eyes full of rage.
"What is this, Darien," Malachite asked, clear annoyance showed in his voice.
"I will not allow this! You will not have her!" Darien retrieved his cane from a pocket in his cape and charged fiercely at Malachite.
"Foolish boy..." Malachite fired a heavy force of energy straight through Darien's chest.
" Darien..NOO!" Serena cried out, panic in her voice. She lurched forward, running to him as Darien stumbled back, falling into her. She somehow managed to catch him and lay him gently to the floor. Tears, by now, were streaming down her face.
"I'm sorry, Serena...I had to try...we will be together again. Until then, just remember that I love you." Darien's eyes fluttered closed, and a perfect rose appeared on his chest.
"Good now we can finally be alone. Come along Selenite, we're going home."
Serena looked up from Darien's body, her eyes filled with anger. "Never...I will never go with you now. Prepare to meet your fate, Malachite, because one of us won't leave here alive." She held the wand to her forehead, the Silver Crystal shining brightly, and Serena became Princess Serenity once again.

Getting closer now...Will Serena destroy Malachite? Will Malachite destroy Serena? Or will he just disable and capture her again? Stay tuned!
Once again I've found time to update admidst the crazy college/work schedule! I might be getting promoted soon at my job ^_^ YEA MANAGEMENT!!! ^_^ Also as you may have seen...I am making a new and hopefully improved Temple ^_^ So I'll also be working on that a bit more ^^ Well, I gotta motor. Ja matta ne! ^_^
