Ye Gods! It's been over a year since I worked on this! It seems almost impossible that that much time has gone by. So, so sorry for anyone who reads (or should I say, "read") this. Since I've essentially lost both my partners in crime that I had to help me push this along, it's been rather uninspiring work with little drive or incentive. Without outside input it's just not nearly as fun. But fear not! I will try to get something done. 'Course, I always say that, and little ever happens. But right now I'm getting things back together and organized in my life, and I feel a writing need coming on soon, so maybe it will end with another section on FS. Who knows. But if anyone reads this and wants to help out with FS, just let me know, and I'll see what we can do. Until then, just hang tight and check back sporadically. I'm gonna try to re-linkup a few of the Blurbs, so at least there's something a little more new to read. I'll Rant about them once I do. Any and all input at this point is muchly appreciated! ~Later!~

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 09: Meeting

Holy crap! An update! Bow down to teh school that gives me incentive to work on this. Anyway, this section I wrote a while ago, but hadn't got around to posting due to internet and time circumstances. I think it turned out pretty well. I didn't want Kai to be able to speak fluent English, 'cuz that would leave pretty much all the main chara's so far being able to communicate well with Mars and RK. And that wouldn't be as fun. And... I dunno, I just like this section. Turned out better than I was anticipating. Hopefully I'll get around to writing some more on this soon, just gotta go catch that writing and inspiration bug. Where's my muse when I need it?

No update yet, but I just wanted to say that I *do* have something written, and will probably post soon since I'm feeling rather guilty about that. I just got internet back yesterday, and a new comp today, so I'm still kinda reveling. But don't worry, I *will* get to FS. Wot are you laughing at? I WILL. Really! Um, yeah. (Fidgets nervously.) I, uh, gotta go! ~Ta!~ (Runs away.)

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 08: Waking

Whee! Another post! W007! Um, wot to say, wot to say... I kinda feel a bit sorry for Deygo in this one. Poor guy can't hardly get a word/thot in edgewise. Heh, Kai is kinda... exuberant, I guess. Even after being stabbed. We'll just say the herbs Deygo used on the wounds were very powerful and healing, so she feels much better. Anyway, hopefully next scene everyone meets up, *finally*. Then from there, I'm not sure where's it's gonna go. I mean, I have an *idea*, but nothing certain.

Oh, and btw, in case you miss it on the FS info page or wotnot, updates are now going to be whenever I get something written and up. I'll *aim* for once a week or so, but I gaurantee nothing. So yeah, just to let you know. Um... don't got nothin' else right now, so I guess I'll go study! ~Ta!~

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 07: The Woman Behind the Cat

Ah! Finally! A post! And also finally! You actually meet Kai! Woo! My posting is becoming sporadic. Sorry all, but I don't think I'm disappointing a very large audience, anyway. And school is teh 3v1ln355, and I feel rather uninspired. I'm thinking posting might just go to whenever I can get around to it. We'll see. I'm not yet ready to revise my (seems to be tentative) update schedule.

Anyway, this post. I think it came out fairly well. There's some witty banter, description's okay, and a formal introduction of a new character. (Note: I consider formal intro of a new character when they get a name, basically, and are involved in the plot to some extent). So yah, the next update is I-don't-know-when, and I'm not even sure wot the next section is going to include. Probably Deygo and Kai meeting up with the other three. And I do have another Blurb written. It came out well, and is pretty funny. Whee! But you probably won't see that for a long time yet. Sorry. Anywho, it is late, and I must sleep sometime, so later all!

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 06: Confrontation

Hey all! Sorry it's been *soooooooo* long! I've been lazy about posting, and even though it was spring break and wotnot, I still feel bad. But anyway, at least there's *finally* a new update up. W007! Unfortunately, I don't have anything else new written (i.e. no more new sections queued up to go). Maybe I'll get something written within the next few days. I suppose that'd be a good thing. ^_^

This section... Let's see, what can I say about this section. Um... we get to see Eris use some of her powers, that's freakin' awesome. I don't think I really need to explain them for you to understand, but I'll do it anyway. :p Eris has the ability to make people believe they are seeing something they are not, and influence their actions while they are seeing this illusion. She needs to be able to make eye contact with the person to make it work. There is no maximum number of people she can influence at one time. However, the more people she is affecting, the more elaborate the illusion, and the longer the duration, the more energy it takes. The effects of the illusion gradually wear off after a given amount of time. So yah, that's it, I think. If there needs to be more explanation later, I'll give it.

I'm not sure Osric will come much back into play later, but I thought he needed a name. So there. Maybe you'll see him again later in the village. (Oo... hints of plot to come, maybe. ~_^) Um, I can't think of anything else to say right now, so I'm off to work some more on mah puzzle. ~Ta!~

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 05: Decisions

Lookit that! I actually got an *actual* update for you during a couple of the busiest weeks so far this term! W007! One good thing about procrastinating doing school work -- I work on other non-essential projects! Heh. Go me!

Anyway, this section wasn't beta-read by anyone before I posted it, so if you don't like it, blame my lack of being able to contact any beta-readers. Personally, I think it turned out okay. It's rather short, and so's the next one, but that's alright. And at least this time when Deygo leaves Mars and RK he has Eris stay with them! And Eris without the "thought-binder" on? Hmm... That oughta be fun. ^__^

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 04: Insights

Sorry it's been *so* long since I've had an actual FS update, and you shouldn't be expecting another one for at least a couple of weeks. I'm in the end-of-the-term crunch right now. But I will try my best to get something up.

For today, you gotz some pretty new backgrounds, compliments of mbif.net, a couple new linked character profiles, and Part 4 of Chapter 6.

I really like the backgrounds, they are very pretty. The chara profiles are pretty good, except no picture for Veymos or Sandy yet. The new section I like; it turned out well. New character introduction, tho only breifly. You'll see more of her later, maybe next section. And looky there! Mars is showing some, uh, heightened abilities. That's kinda kewl. Maybe it's got something to do with Libitina. Um... I can't think of much more to say, I'm watching a movie so my brain isn't focusing. So yah. That's it!

Blurb: Finding A Roommate

Okay, okay, I know I missed last week with an update, and this isn't an *actual* update, but you better just be glad I'm taking the time to do anything! So nyah! XP

But here's the deal. I only have one section written that's new that hasn't been posted. I'll probably get it up next week. But from the way school's looking right now, I may have to forego (sp?) writing much else for a while (couple of weeks). I have some *big* projects coming up, so that, sadly, has first priority. But I *will* try to post *something* each week, whether it's updated character profiles, a blurb, or just, *something*. Anyway, that's wot's up.

Today, you have an extra page in the new section "FS Other Pages". It's a list of all the Goirteh (Gods) of Etuua. Thought people might find it a useful reference. Also up today are two (almost) complete profiles. RK's is completely done, and Veymos' just needs to have a picture. *That* will get done when I'm inspired to draw something. The biggest thing posted today is the "Finding A Roommate" Blurb. Since I linked it in RK's chara prof, thought I actually oughta link it on the Blurbs pages and archive it on the FS pages.

This Finding A Roommate is basically a series of mini blurbs. I find them funny. I kinda got the idea for something like this from watching Mystery Men when they are auditioning people for super hero positions. Anyway, I think it turned out alright. Now you know where Sandy came from! Sort of! W007!

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 03: Explanations, Part B

Hey hey! How ya'll been? Sorry 'bout forgetting to post last week, it was hectic, to say the least. Anyway, you get a bonus today! You getz the update PLUS three character profiles! Yay! You should be appreciative of *that*, at least. I'll get pictures up as I draw them and find some sort of scanner. (Maybe I'll actually get mine working! >_<)

Uh, this section, let's see... Not a whole lot was said, but it wrapped up the conversation, mostly. Didn't really have a lot more that I could think of that needed to be explained and that fit in the story here. But I did manage, to get a joke or two in there. ^_^ Next section you'll get a glimpse of a new chara. She'll be around for a while, but I don't want to say too much right now. You'll just have to wait until it's written! Now maybe I'll go mess with my scanner....

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 02: Unwanted Consequences

Hey, hey! Part two! W007! This section incorporates another piece I wrote over this last summer, altered a bit so it would fit in the story, like I did for Libitina. Anyway, it explains things rather nicely, or at least gives one a bit more of an idea of what has happened and is happening. I guess we meet Veymos for the first time in this section, too, though he's been talked about enough before now.

This isn't my favorite section, but I do rather like the way it turned out. If you want to read the full piece before I altered it for incorporation, you can click here. Since it's my work and it's just over on my other site, I'm not gonna have it pop-up out of the frames for this site. Alright? Good.

Anyway, I think that about covers it for this section. I've drawn full-body character sketches for Jodin and RK, and have head sketches for Deygo and Eris. They're all mostly ok. As soon as I get some sort of scanner or something, I'll try to get them on the site so you can see them. I s'pose that's another thing I could do, too, get the character descriptions/profiles up at some point. I have all of them at least partially done, but I think Deygo is the only one that I have everything finished for. Ah well. If I remember, I'll work on that. Well, I'm off! Until next week, ~Ta!

Chapter 06: Encounters; Part 01: Explanations, Part A

Alright! First section of Chapter 6! Lots of talking in it, that's about it. But it does explain a lot of what's happened, and things that are going on.

I have two more sections for this chapter written, and am working on a 4th, but I don't like how it's coming out. Hopefully I'll get it fixed before I need to post it. I hate it when stuff doesn't work right, it's annoying.

So anyway, I'm gonna go find some stuff for dinner, and get some more smoothy stuff I made. 'Tis yummy. ^_^

Blurb: It's Art!

Hoo-haw! I am *done* with Chapter 5! Yay! I do have a bit of a start in Chapter 6, as previously mentioned somewhere, I think. Got the first 2 parts Erato approved, and a 3rd written. Hurrah for me, the Magical Ham!

And yeah, some variation of this conversation about my ineptitude at actually hitting what I aim at has transpired between Mars and myself. "Fire enough bullets and hope to hit the target." (Quartermain, LXG). That and god mode, or the ability to infinitely respawn, always help. ^_^ (I think I make more of a point about this later in another Blurb, more about me not being able to hit things that is. This Blurb focuses more on Mars drawin' on my face, I guess. But regardless, that's where the idea came from.)

And yes, I know this post is early, but I had a little bit of free time right now, time I don't know that I'll have on Sunday. So you gotz an early post! Lucky you. Now go away, I gotz ta go ta bed. XP

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 8: And Still With Life

Again, sorry for the no updates for a couple a weeks, but it's the holidays, I kinda forgot, and all that other stuff. And tonight I was having issues. Brain wasn't functioning, which isn't good, considering I start classes again tomorrow. Evilness.

Anyway, da post is up, it's the last one for Chapter 5, so enjoy. I like the description of Jodin regenerating. I thot it was kewl.

Next time is a Blurb. Yay for you. And I have 2 sections written already for Chapter 6. Yay for me. ^_^ Anyway, I really *must* go to bed, considering it's almost midnight and I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow. Uck.

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 7: Leaving

Okay, sorry about the lack of updatedness last week, but I was visiting mah sister and didn't have anything ready-to-go on my site for quick and easy posting.

I kinda like this section. It's got funny and serious bits and all meshes very well, if you ask me. You'll have to wait until the next chapter for any talk between Eris and M&R, 'cuz the last section of this chapter is not about them. Uh, I really don't know wot else to say about this part besides that I think it turned out well. So hopefully I'll get some more stuff written, and get to post on time next week. Happy Holidays!

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 6: Rescued

You know, my titles are getting very boring. I blame that on the fact that it's damn hard to come up with a title before a piece is written, at least, it is for me. Hopefully, I'll be getting away from that soon, even tho the next chapter is a one word title. *sigh*

And yes! I have started work on Chapter 06! Yay! I have a basic idea of wot I want to happen, and have even written a section for it already, tho it is not the first one in the story. But you still have 2 more parts for chapter 5, then you get to enjoy the wonderfulness of another blurb before you getz ta read any of ch. 6. Maybe I'll have more done on it by then. That is, if I ever get some time. I have finals right now, followed by 4 days of not even being home, so we'll see. I *should* have time to kill after that.

But lets see... in this section... The Spirits talk! Well, one of them does. And for those of you who are curious, Viodeh is the same Spirit that came to Eris earlier when she was in Origin (y'know, the one she touched hands with?). I thot it was very powerful in the story for him to speak here. It just seemed very... right. And Eris may not have the extensive knowledge of spells that Jodin did, but she does know a thing or two, like how to get M&R out of the Invisi-box. I know this section is pretty short, but you'll live. It doesn't seem like much happened, but it *was* necessary to be able to get the story moving along. I like the next two sections muchly, especially the last one of this chapter. But I suppose I should wait until I post them to yak about 'em. And I also suppose I should go finish reading that chapter in genetics. Ugh. More next week!

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 5: Trapped

It's hard to write things when they are happening simultaneously. You basically have to do one scene, then go back and write the other, trying to make it as clear as possible that they are occurring at the same time. Grr.. Ah well. If you haven't figured it already, this part and part 4 are going on at concurrently.

This scene didn't come out as well as I wanted it to. I wanted it to be funnier, and well, it's kinda pleh. The next Part is a bit better tho, so hopefully that'll make up for it. Oh, and if you don't know where the "Ack, Oop, Eek, Chee," thingy came from, it's from the comp game "Escape From Monkey Island." Very fun game. There's this one bit where you have to play monkey kombat, I think it was called, or something like that. And it involves using Ack, Oop, Eek, and Chee as commands. Mars, Erato, and I kinda picked it up 'cuz we thot it was funny, and we now use it to count for things instead of "One, two, three," we use the count of Chee. So yah.

Um, not much else to say 'bout this one. There's 3 more parts to this chapter. yay! And I kinda like the last two, at least, so that's good. Something to look forward to!

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 4: Bargaining

Well, I missed a week, but I've also been working a bit on the story, so things are progressing a wee bit.

And I like this section. I think it turned out well, for the most part, even tho I feel I kinda suck at writing fight scenes. Bleh. They never seem to turn out as kewl on paper as wot I see in my mind. But I really like how Jodin's personality comes through, one of those confident baddies that you really love to hate. At least, that's my opinion. I'm not gonna do wot I did for Part 2 of this chapter, putting their conversation in NS here for you to read. That was a lot of work, and I don't think too many people care, anyway. If you really want to know, you can ask and I'll give it to you.

It's a good thing Ris is there, too. Her and Deygo balance each other, I think. And it does seem he rather needs her around. Anyway, there's about 4 more sections in this chapter, then we'll see wot happens. Even I don't know that. My stories kinda write themselves, I just let them have life. It's more fun that way. ^_^

Chapter 5: On Their Own; Part 3: Trouble Brewing

Yeah, yeah, my updates are getting fewer, but so is my supply of ready-to-go posts. I think I'm going to change things back to a tentative once-a-week posting, or whenever I get something written/have time to get the frickin' post up. If I can update more than once-a-week, great, but don't anticipate too much. School does (unfortunately) come first, after all.

Well, let's see... about this post. Mars and RK fight! W007! And yeah, we do tend to bicker like this in real life, and things are just as quickly forgotten. Also we get to see more of Jodin. Yay! He does start to seem rather villainous, tho, doesn't he? You'll just have to wait until next post to see wot he's up to.
