farewell adeline... Jagermeister & monday nights don't mix!!

2/8/03 josh pointed out the coolest video in the world to me two days ago, it is Johnny Cash's cover of Nine inch nail's "hurt". It is awesome and you can see it here or you can go to mp4.com and find it if you want. Mark and I got together and finished another song for our spring e.p. I need to contact the studio we are checking out and figure out when we can go in there and record. I'm hoping to record 6 songs, I don't know if they all make it onto the e.p. or what -wesley

2/3/03 thanks to everyone out there who helped us hit 396 total plays for the month of January, our biggest month ever on mp3.com, and thanks to all the fans who are checking out our new site at iuma.com. The quest to find a reliable replacement for our much missed drummer josh has been difficult, but we have used the time to write some new songs. The plan is to record a couple of them at home before we go to the studio for the final versions. thanks as well to all the people who emailed us asking for a free cd, it is nice to see how many fans we have across the u.s. and canada. Also much thanks to Vern Bond, a friend of ours, who donated a beautiful 12-string guitar to the band after closing out his studio to pursue other interests. thanks again to all, and keep a look out for the new miles on end e.p. which we should see march 4th (milesonend.com ) -wesley

1/28/03 we are luckily about to get free web hosting from a friend of ours so you may soon see farewelladeline.com take the place of this poorly created and outdated website. if you are interested in managing the content of the site and the message board please contact us. thanks to all who continue to check us out on mp3.com and iuma.com, i am happy to say that january will be our biggest month ever with over 300 qualified plays of our songs. -wesley

1/22/03 for those of you who know us via the web thanks for checking out "sad old men" we saw the hits for the site go up dramatically. On the local scene, the show with mark & myself went great (although i did forget the lyrics halfway through the last song and pulled my best impression of eminem in 8 mile - choke choke choke), if you haven't been to an open mic night lately i would definitely recommend the 13th street coffee shop, we heard some great poems and good music. our hope is to start playing a small show every couple of weeks so keep on the lookout and email us at farewell_adeline@hotmail.com if you want to be on the list to be updated -wes

1/16/03 if you were unable to check out miles on end at the 49'r you missed an amazing display of toughness by josh dube himself. you can check out the article which names them as the band of the week on slamomaha.com under the section "the buzz."
we have a new song pending approval on mp3.com, "sad old men" it should be up by january 20th. the new demo cd-r is finished, if you would like a copy, get it here. We hope to be playing some shows with miles on end, another omaha band with a pretty amazing indie rock sound, check em out here.
