Seatrout Fishing in Fresh Water

Seatrout fishing in the rivers of Denmark

You say river with a very short word in Danish: å. In Denmark you have to get a permission for the river you have been thinking before you begin. It doesn't use to be very expensive (3 to 10 dollars for a day). Besides you have to buy the anglers permission from the government, wich works a year long and just cost one hundred danish crones (8 or 9 dollars).
Some of the danish rivers are known as very good quallity ones. Karup å, Skjern å wich is beeing restored now, Simested å and a lot others are known as producing very big seatrouts, with a lot of trouts been caught over seven kilos or even more. But my favourites are the small river where you can read the water and find the spots that may hide big trout. This rivers are depending on rain. You just have to wait for some rain and one or two days after it stops, when the water goes down and clears up, the new trouts are agressive because they don't have so many places to hide anymore. Sometimes this places will surprise you with enormous trouts. My personal record in fresh water is a silvery 13 pounder, caught in a very little river.

These small rivers are very cheap or cost nothing at all, just asking the owners... and if you liked the place and want to come back and be wellcome, just come with a good bottle of wine, whiskey or snaps (the locals spiritus).
