BARNES WALK
This is what Mr Temple, Principal of Barnes had to say. " The Barnes walk was held as scheduled . It was a marvellous sight to see 350 odd kids take part in a mass display of loyalty. Each walker was given a T-shirt with the inscription - " THE BARNES WALK " - " I WALKED FOR BARNES ". It was extremely successful in that every body completed the 20 km distance. In fact most heartening was a girl, who suffers with polio and yet was able to walk 8 kms of the distance. That was an indication of mood by which the walk was held. "
