"Der so geliebte Aeltester unserer Gemeinde Peter Wedel ist 1820 mit der
Gemeinde aus Preussen nach Sued-Russland gekommen. Er ist in Preussen 1813 ins
Predigtamt erwaehlt u. 1814 zum Aeltester. Bis 1871, also 57 Jahren war er
Aeltester, doch seit 1869 half ihm Aeltester Jakob Buller in diesem Dienst.
1871 den 27. Juni predigte er zum letzten Mal ueber Joh. 3.16 Also hat G. d.
W. gel. ... Sein Alter brachte er auf 79 J. 1 M. 12 Tag. P1328
