strangely, this is the one cd that my friends and i consistantly agree on. i think of it as the
multi-crowd pleaser, cuz not only do i like it, but so does my friend who loves classical music & uh, doesn't
particularly care for the more modern stuff.

ahhh.. i will always have a special place for this band.. i don't listen to the cd much any
more, but twas the first real concert (read: one that I *really* wanted to go to) that i went to .. the
barrymore (a majorly awesome venue.. tis too bad that more bands don't go there) thursday night before school
started before... 8th grade.. 1995. oh dear. i'm dating myself. (-:

Okay, so they're all over the radio now (whoo-boy!) with so much for the
afterglow and there's a couple songs that I like, but on the whole, i much prefer sparkle &
fade.

okay, just a note here. nirvana is my favorite band, no ifs ands or buts. (god, what would i
do without cliches?) that's most likely why i have so many nirvana cds, and also why they've got their own
section in my cd holders. unfortunately, their column's filled up (along with the rest of my case..) so i'll be needing
another case soon. actually, i need a new one now.

mary three, american standard
i'm not sure what it is, but i love this album. however, what (little) i've heard of their
since records... i'm not really impressed with. the other day, i saw a review for orange ave. (great title,
by the way. orange is a good color.) and the author said something like they started out horribly with
american standard, and were slowly getting better. somehow, i didn't quite agree.

sleater-kinney. another one of my favorite bands (along with nirvana and bikini kill.) i
just simply love them. everytime i listen to sleater-kinney, i remember that i must read *every* damn isthmus (a
weekly paper here.) this lesson i learned the hard way. sniff.

this cd contains my ultimate get-hyper song, i got a girl. i mean, pop that in,
put my hair into a ponytail, jump around for awhile, and it's hard not to feel better. i recently finally got around to
making myself a "hyper/happy" mix tape. this song's number one.

cds by various artists:
Cats soundtrack (2 cd version)
i love Cats. i've seen it three times, twice
with my bestest buddie in the world, Meg, once with my mom. every now
and then i get out the cd and attempt to warble along. correction: i warble, the cd sings.
CMJ New music, several volumes.
DGC Rarities Vol. 1
Empire Records soundtrack
i love this cd, and i love the movie. simply fun.
Greatest Hits Daryl Hall and John Oats
my mom picked it up for a buck at a
garage sale, cuz it has "Sara Smile." i once listened to that song for 1/2 an hour straight. i haven't listened to the
song more than once since.
Kill Rock Stars, Kill Rock Stars
Lost Highway soundtrack
Reality Bites soundtrack
Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, vol. 1 and 2.
Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits
okay, i absolutely love this cd.
i've borrowed it from the library at least twice, so when i saw it at my local used cd store (majorly cool
disc-go-round) i *had* to get it. i'm rather partial to Liz Phair and Material Issue's "Tra La La Song,"
Mary Lou Lord and Semisonic's "Sugar Sugar," and Violent Femmes' "Eep Opp Ork Ah-ah Means I Love
You)" (from the jetsons!)

oh!
annie soundtrack I loooooove annie.. when I was little, I listened to this once
through every night before going to sleep... heehee...
that's basically it, besides my various mix tapes (my finals mix tape, my just-becuz mix tape,(with lots of
single songs from cds that i got from the library) and my newly done (but that needs to be re-done) happy/hyper
mix tape.. and tape copies of several cds, needed cuz i wanted to listen to them on a walkman..
