Thea's Turn This is a good one for fussy cutting a slightly large print. Paper pieced units then machine pieced.
|
K-5 Passing Through Redrafted to look like Jane's (Added seam lines in the background area so it could be pieced as two separate pieces.) Since it was a set-in seam, I handpieced it.
14 Pieces. |
K-6 Ann's Folly Slight redraft to match Jane's. (Eliminated the little squares in the four corners). Paper pieced into two large triangular units and one long rectangular unit then machine pieced the units.
33 Pieces. |
K-7 Rose of Sharing Appliqued with freezer paper on top. This can be done like Jane's in four sections if there is an interesting fabric on hand that can be mirror imaged to create a kaleidoscopic design. I took the easy way out.
2 Pieces. |
K-8 Springbrook Park Paper pieced and hand pieced.
|
K-9 Scout's Honor Hand and paper pieced.
|
K-10 Quandry Used two printed fabrics. There were no redrafts on the original design just placement changes of the printed and background fabric to form a new visual design. Paper pieced units then hand pieced the units. 39 Pieces. |
K-11 Columbine Another change of visual design by changing placement of printed and background fabrics while the original draft remained the same. Paper pieced in units then machine pieced the units. 25 Pieces. |
K-12 Doris's Dilemma Paper pieced all in one unit. 11 Pieces. |
K-13 Brandon's Star Slight redraft by eliminating the lines in the four outer triangles. Paper piecing in units then machine piecing the units.. 25 Pieces. |
