    Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a first person shooter war game for the computer.  It was released January 22, 2002, and was instantly named one of the greatest games in years.  Medal of Honor takes place during World War 2, and you play as Lieutenant Mike Powell, an American soldier working for the Office of Strategic Services in WWII Europe.  The game is has 6 missions, with a total of 33 levels spanning from late 1942 up to early 1945.  Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is usually seen as the abbreviation MOHAA because it takes too long to keep saying the name over and over.

    Missions on MOHAA change from level to level.  Some will be search-and-rescue operations, some are hit-and-run, and some just require you to escape with your life.  On a mission in Norway, you're sneaking around disguised as a German officer in order to sabotage a submarine.  Another has you in France stealing a King Tiger tank, and another has you go and destroy a mustard gas factory in Germany.

    Playing MOHAA multiplayer brings a whole new feel to the game.  There are four stock
game modes:

    * Free for All
    * Team Deathmatch
    * Objective
    * Round Based

With the help of modders, (people that change the way the game is played) there have been more game modes created, such as: Capture the Flag, and Freeze Tag.  Objective and Freeze tag are the two most popular game modes, but there is still a fair share of people that play the others.

    The reason I like MOHAA so much is because it creates a fair challenge amongst all the
players.  There are also ladders on which many teams compete in a constant struggle to become the number one ranked team, and hold that position.  I am also a big fan of WWII history, so whenever a new WWII based game comes out, I end up buying it, and judging it off of MOHAA.  I have not yet found a WWII based game that has been as good as MOHAA, or still has as many people playing it after the game nears its 3rd year of being released.
