Unreal Tournament 2004 Game Info

    The Unreal series for computer is rising up to be one of the most well known computer game franchises of all time.  Almost any computer gamer you talk to will tell you that they have heard of the Unreal series.  The original Unreal Tournament was a slow rising success, and a few years after being released, a special edition came out, to try to attract some new players to the game for the soon to be released Unreal Tournament 2003.  Unreal Tournament 2003 was a huge success, and it was one of the first games to use the new Unreal Engine 2.0, and with the fast pace of the game, it made even dying fun, just to see how your character was thrown around.

    Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2k4) continued the success of the Unreal series.  Vehicles were added along with new game types, to make the game appeal to an even bigger audience. The 10 game types in UT2k4 are:

    * Onslaught   (new in UT2k4)
    * Deathmatch
    * Team Deathmatch
    * Capture the Flag
    * Double Domination
    * Bombing Run
    * Mutant
    * Last Man Standing
    * Invasion
    * Assault   (new in UT2k4)

Along with new game types, and vehicles, there were many new maps added to the game, bringing the map total to over 100.

    The reason I like UT2k4 is because it has a very fast pace, and you really have to work to keep up with everyone.  Unreal Engine 2.0 gives all the characters a 'rag doll' effect when they are shot, or killed, which really helps with the realism in the game.  The Unreal series comes out with a new sequel about once a year, which really helps keep players interested in the game, and it allows for some of the most updated graphics to be used at all times.
