GOLD MEDAL ATHLETES OF THE MONTH OF APRIL & MAY 2000
SHAYNA GONSALVES
Shayna has shown what it takes to give it her all. She shows a spark that truly gives gymnastics a new up and coming face for the future of our sport. Shayna is a hard worker who will stop at nothing to give it her all, with a great personality and knowledgable understanding of the sport, she has good structural form and her vaulting is lightning quick. A Performer on Floor and a daredevil on Bars, Wrap it all together with Balance beam gracefulness, and Shayna Gonsalves is one day on the road to greatness. Congratulations Shayna Gonsalves, and Good Luck in the future.
AMANDA BORDEN
Amanda Borden Captain of the US Woman's Gymnastics Team of the 1996 Olympics, shows true spirit with gymnastics and in everything that she does. Noted for her Smile and encouragement to her other teammates, Amanda works for all that she strides for and never gives up. Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to see to it that her best is given always.
COURTNEY OLIVEIRA
Courtney, although only 7 years old and has been doing gymnastics for over 1 year has shown a lot of heart. She is a heard worker and never gives up. Her beam skills are strong, and her Floor Ex. has improved greatly. With Front handspring Vaults and bar work paving the way for more skills to come, she truly is a gymnast with a path to that competitive edge that she always hopes to accomplish, but always remembering to have fun, fun, fun.
BLAIN WILSON
While being a member of the 96' US Mens Olympic team, Blain hopes to continue his Olympic Journey and move on to Sydney for the 2000 Olympics. Blain has accomplished many triumphs in mens gymnastics. Setting the record for Three consecutive US National Titles in a row in 1996, 1997, 1998, and hoping to make a fourth in 99'. Blain who was recently named captain of the US squard at the recent US International team Meet, is out to give his all and do what he can to help his team and help the US in Mens Gymnastics.
