Transitional Masks
In Majora’s Mask, the masks are vital items that you will need to use throughout the game. Link can use masks to transform into the races of Zora, Goron, and Deku
Scrub. There is also a whole slew of Secondary Masks, and one special secret mask if you can manage to get all the others (and pass a small test).

1. Deku Scrub Mask: Not the prettiest form Link can transform into, however it is necessary for certain parts of the game. Deku Link is able to hanglide on flowers that are set throughout different parts of the game. He also uses a spin attack, can fire deku nuts as bombs from the air, and also becomes able to shoot bubbles at his foes. He will also be able to play Deku Hornpipes, as an instrument. |

2. Goron's Mask: Simple enough, a mask that transforms Link
into a Goron. Link will become much stronger and can utilize a powerful goron fire punch. Since Goron link is much heavier, he cannot swim, but can do a lot of damage by pounding himself against the ground. Goron Link can also curl himself into a ball and roll at a much faster pace than walking. If powered up enough, spikes will form on his back and the speed of the roll will increase. A separate instrument is also played in the form of the Goron drums. |  |

3. Zora's Mask: Vital for the game, this mask transforms
Link into a Zora. Link will be able to swim much faster, deeper, and won't have to come up for air. The attacks change when the mask is put on, and Link will be able to use the flippers on his arms to as a weapon. The flippers can be used as a sword-type weapon and a barrage of slices and kicks can be performed. The flippers can also be used as boomerangs to hit long range enemies. An electric charge attack can be emitted under water, and when crouching. Link will also be able to use the Zoran bone guitar as his instrument. |
