SUMMARY: Lets start with the positive - the picture is the best I have ever seen, there is little dirt visible and the sharpness is amazing. Even dark scenes come out well. However, the 'widescreen' ratio is false - the black bars have been matted onto the print and cut off some of the credits and, obviously, the picture. The menus are officially THE worst known to man. The illuminous colours make the film look so cheap and navigation is hard - when you highlight a feature (for example scene selections), it turns a pale grey, so you don't really know if you have selected it. The additional scenes are not great either - while interesting, they are of the worst picture quality and sound is atrocious too. The trailer is in fullscreen and has not been re-mastered , so sound and image is relatively poor. OVERALL: 1 out of 5 |
