OK, you want to attempt a one cable back- that is a cable veering right using only two stitches total. Here's what you do.
You have 2 knit stitches.
Knit into the SECOND stitch.
DO NOT SLIP ANY STITCHES OFF THE LEFT NEEDLE!!!
Knit into the FIRST stitch.
Slip BOTH stitches left needle.
And voila! Don't you feel special?
