Winter Meeting Conversation

Jay here again. A few minutes ago I got off the phone with Jorge Julio who is reporting to us from New Orleans and the Baseball Winter Meetings. So, for your pleasure here is a breakdown of the conversation.

Jay: God, thanks for talking to me today.

Jorge: Its all good compadre!

Jay: Ok, well of course the first topic I want to touch upon is the Vladimir Guerrero topic. I know I am beating a dead horse here but the fans want to know. Is he gonna be an Oriole next year?

Jorge: Well there is nothing official yet, but all signs point to yes. I have had several conversations with the superstar free agent and he seems optimistic about a deal to bring him here.

Jay: Well all know that Peter Angelos has the money to spend this year on Vlad, but rumors are saying that he might take a pay cut to play here. Is that true?

Jorge: To be honest I would like to believe so. I mean come on, its not every day you get to play with God.

Jay: Very good point. What about the other free agents. Who else are the O's looking for?

Jorge: Well I have had on again and off again conversations with Javy Lopez, Pudge Rodriguez, Miguel Tejada and even Ugueth Urbina.

Jay: Interesting that you bring up Urbina, any threat that he would take your job?

Jorge: Come on Jay, you know better. Urbina knows that if he comes to Baltimore its to set me up. There is no greater closer in history then me.

Jay: Ok Jorge, long distance fees suck ass here so I have to let you go.

Jorge: You should have called using 10-10-321!

Jay: Ugh, alrighty man. Take it easy and make sure to call if anything comes up.

Jorge: I am on it.

As you can see Jorge is a busy man and long distance from Baltimore to New Orleans sucks God's nuts. Julio also took part in an online chat today so look for that Chat Wrap to be up soon.
