Formed in October of 1997, Corridor spent much of the winter months writing and perfecting material in hopes of playing out in 1998. In April of `98, Corridor recruited new guitarist Tom Dore to round out the current line up.
The boundaries of metal are limitless in the music of Corridor. They blend the sounds of such bands as: Life of Agony, Metallica, Tool, and Black Sabbath, resulting in a vast utopia of metallic mayhem.
The thirteen shows of 1998 yielded many spoils to the band. Their appearance at the WHS (Windham High School) Home Coming Festival opened 400 sets of ears to the sounds of Corridor, which greatly boosted the sales of their EP Catch 22. They finished third in the 15th annual Reindeer Rock-Off's. Tom Dore and Chris DeBree were voted best guitarist and third best drummer in the state of Maine. And then there was the show with local legends Twisted Roots (which actually took place Jan. 1, `99). Andre Salles of Face Magazine had this to say about the bands performance: "First on stage was Corridor from Windham High School, and damn, they cranked. These boys pummeled us with a tight set all the way through. The crowd went nuts to the psycho-instrumental ending to Bliss, the last song." In other words, 1998 rocked, but `99 will be METAL!!!
