This one turned out a little better than my other one, since I actually applied the background this time instead of photoshopping it in. It's to show poor X's duty to fight and yet his sadness about the entire thing *sniffle* Although I think X in the armor turned out a little too evil looking, and the outside of armor one just has strange eyes. Oh well. I practiced cross hatching on his hair, and it's turning out better with every try (although this one still doesn't have the gradient effect I was looking for!) The Metool necklace is cute, ne? I tryed to do the snow a la Clamp, but I only had a white out pen, instead of a brush, so it didn't turn out as cool. As usual, I worked with a Sakura Micron pen (.35mm and .20mm for the eyes and face) along with a brush pen for his shirt, but I ended up filling it in with the ink bucket tool in photoshop. Here is what happened to the Shadow Armor picture when I colored it on photoshop instead of using screentones. The setting is quite different, and this one turned out much more serious looking than the other. I liked how the screen toned pic turned out, but I still like this one much much better. ^__^ Roar. *heart* The white fuzzy edges where a happy accident that turned to my favor, actually. Now you can see a stranger dissolving into darkness effect (which was two layers of air brush with two tones of gray... the quickest effect, but turned out looking quite impressive.) This is the most ambitious screentone venture I've gone on since I started using screentones. After I applied the screentone to Zero's armor, I realized I didn't have any screentone that had weight dark enough for the "cloth" part of his armor, ie, his legs, arms. So I had to try the perfect overlay of tones technique to get that right, which is hard for me, since I'm pretty new at this. I had the most trouble drawing sonic! *_* He's not humanoid, and I was unfamilar with his shape. I was also going for the leather effect with Yami Yugi's outfit (which is not bad.... better than my first try. :p). This is a birthday gift for Sonic no Miko. Yes... Zero is the only Mega Man related character on the page, but dang it, I worked 10 hours drawing this (three of which were spent drawing bleeping Sonic), another six hours screentoning it, so I want to show it off! So there. ^_^ Regard. It is a Kobun Chao. I drew this one up for a "Create Your Own Chao" contest... which I lost. (Awwww *pat pat*) It's not particularly Chao like. I had tons of fun drawing the little guy, and was crackig up as I drew up comments. ^_^ For this picture, I used the .50mm pen to ink the entire thing, and I think it was appropriate here since he doesn't have too many detail parts. The CG job was a quick one, so don't ding me on it ^_^ CGs are taking me forever nowadays. Now that I know better, I have to spend the time to get it right, and so I kind of dread coloring. Anyway, this picture is what I imagine the Rockman Zero series will end. Zero dies. X comes for him to take him to Robot Heaven. (There's one, ne?) I had lots of fun coloring and drawing Zero, but Unknown X drove me insane. There was no official art of him I could find, so I had to base him off several fan art images... so naturally his uniform and helmet might not be exactly as it should be. I really should find a lot better way to do backgrounds, though. |
