My Motor - The story so far !

My motor started off life as a plain and simple 1100cc Mini clubman purchased on New years day of 2000.

Straight away she was to suffer the first of many modifications that have followed ever since when the bus steering wheel was ditched in favour of a much smaller one.

Since then not much has been left untouched, read on for the full story!

 

The sad speccy bit:

Suspension

  • Spax dampers all round

  • Negative camber 1.5 deg (ish) all round

  • Adjustable tie bars for castor setting

Wheel / Brakes

  • 10" X 5 revolution rims

  • Yokohama AO32R Tires

  • Modified MG metro 4 pot calipers on front, and std drums on rear (No servo)

  • Braided hoses

Electrics

  • MG Metro wiring loom modified to fit in mini.

  • Electric windows

Engine / Gearbox

  • MG metro 1275cc block (A+) rebored to 1328cc (60' overbore) 

  • Piper BP270 cam

  • Crank lightened and balanced

  • Innocenti cooper con rods

  • MG turbo Verto clutch assembly

  • Lightened distributor drive shaft (As per David Vizard)

Body work

  • currently being prepped for a respray!
