Oct. 29 (Day Four)



By day four the fires were mostly still active only in the mountains. This picture is taken in front of
HP in Rancho Bernardo, looking east towards Julian. The small mountain town of Julian was being evacuated just about the time I was taking this picture.









As you can see, things are looking much better for us this day, although the dark skies in the east remind us that the mountains are still in peril.


 
Note: I stopped taking pictures after 4 days, as our
immediate neighborhood had pretty much returned to
normal. But the fires were definitely still burning out
in the East County.
