Another picture postcard sent to my great uncle Paul McAvoy Fidler.

This one is addressed to Mr. Paul Fidler at Arlington, WV, postmarked Oct. 10, 191?, Crawford WV (cannot make out the year, but probably 1914).

The text reads:

Hello. How are you since the d----?  Ha. Ha.
Well I have 1 wk. of school gone already.
I'm glad of it but I like it fine.  I have no other
cards so I will send you this one.  "Graci"

Apparently one of these girls is "Graci" with perhaps a sister or friend. The many thumbtack holes suggest Paul displayed this postcard for some time.

And here's the back. The stamp has fallen away and the postmark is barely legible.

This is however one the few things we have from that period which was actually written in ink. (Even the checks were written in pencil.)
