"The first and the greatest love story in FF history"

Final Fantasy VIII (8) is set in world in the very near future on a planet named Gaia. You play the story as a young man named Squall who is a new member of the SeeD organisation who's job it is to fight and destroy the Sorceresses that threaten peace. so Squall and has party are sent on a small mission in Timber but they get more than what they bargained for when they meet Rinoa and her gang of rebels who they were sent to help.

On their journey they encounter many strange foe and discover a strange link in there past, which they all forgot. This soon turn their simple mission into much more important one a mission which decides the fate of the whole universe.

This game is very nicely done with the story and how all the characters have a link in some way. along with a very clever junctioning system which can make your team more powerful than could ever be reached in a previous Final Fantasy game.

Personnally this game is one of my favorites out of the series becasue of its gameplay. even though this game didn't have a great story the gameplay was great with the battle system and the whole story being bases on a mission even though by the end you only remember your on a mission because your get paid. but all in all if you want an RPG that you can just sit down and enjoy without havning to work the story out just get this you will enjoy it.
