Melt & Mold Soap Crafting by C. Kaila Westerman

Review by Vivian: (comparing to Melt & Pour Soapcrafting by M. Browning)

Westerman's book is a totally different style.  While Browning's book seems to feature the complete package, Westerman's book is all about melt and pour techniques: making canes, a quilting star, rainbow loaf soap, layering, swirling, that popular stress relief bar with bath salts in it, soap marbles, a cake with embedded items, faux French milled soap, bath salts box, soap tassels, jelly roll and fruit slices.  She uses the elements of color, form, and light to group the projects in her book.  Some might find this book more valuable to them for its specific directions. Both books had wonderful color illustrations.  These books complement each other very well. I am glad I have both.
