Interested in Posting a Buy to Soapmaking101?

Interested in posting your co-op/fast buy/special sale on the Soapmaking101 email list?  We'd love to have your sale listed!  However, we're a bit picky about who posts sales to our list.  The reason?  Co-ops in the soaping community that have gone bad.   We've noticed an increase in them and have decided to try to protect our members as best we can.   Therefore, we have a few rules that have been recently implemented.

1. No list member may post a co-op/fast buy/special sale without permission from one of the moderators.  Failure to gain approval will be an immediate termination from Soapmaking101.
2. No member may post a co-op/fast buy/special sale without being a member of the list for 6 months or more.
3. References must be submitted when asking for permission along with email addresses.  We will need a total of three references.  We will be contacting these people so please allow for added time to respond to your request.
4. We will also shop your sale.  An example of this is your doing a sale on beeswax.  The moderators will check with several vendors to see if the price you are offering it for is competitive.  If it's not, we will not approve the sale.

Additional information needed is:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Is this a co-op, fast buy or special sale?
• Is there a hostess fee? If so, what is the amount or percentage?
• Who is the vendor (optional)?
• Is an MSDS sheet available? Will you provide it to your customers?
• What is the item and pricing?
• Is there a picture available?
• If the product is a fragrance oil, what is the flashpoint?  (mandatory)
• If the product is a fragrance oil, please advise which applications it's suitable for (ie, candles, gel candle, etc)? (mandatory)
• Is the sale listed on a web page somewhere?  If so, please provide the URL
• What is the estimated delivery, start date and date payment is due?
• Where is it shipping from? What is your address?
• What are payment options?  (PayPal, credit card, check or money order?)

Once you have this information, please email it to either the List-Mom Laura, or the Step-Mom's Alex or Carol (not Larrae as she's out for medical reasons)  WE WILL THEN LOOK THE INFORMATION OVER AND THEN NOTIFY YOU IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO POST IT TO THE LIST.
