ASSA National Placements

The National is a wonderful experience, I never go expecting to win (though making the cut would be nice). Occasionally my dogs have done better than make the cut. Here's my chance to brag a little about their accomplishments:-)

My first National experience as an exhibitor was in 1991 at Indianopolis. Rory placed third in the 9 to 12 month class under judge Katie Gamill.

Peri was the next to place at a National with his second placement in the 1997 Chicago Futurity under Sylvia Calderwood.

Peri did it again with a fourth place win at the Virginia Beach National in 1999 under judge Barbara Wright with Tricia Fausel (Ilemist Presentation) handling.

1999 was a good year as Gwen placed third in Futurity under Barbara Gresso.

Peri moved up to third in Open Black at the 2000 Valley Forge National under judge Ellen Worthington, with Tricia Fausel again at the helm.

Rory and Peri did very well at the 1998 Canadian National also. Rory was first in the Veteran Dog class with Megan Pickard handling and helped his dam, Can. Ch. Kincardine's Cast of Thousands ROMC, to a Best Brood Bitch win with half sister Chantal, Am. BISS Can. Ch. Kincardine Clearly A Song ROMC. Peri was fourth in the Open Black class under judge Lynn Broussard. (Photo by HypArt).

The Lansing National in 2003 was very special as it was in my own "backyard" and hosted by the SSCGD. Rory finished his National career by again going third in his class, this time as a Veteran.
