????? is a powerful magic user and is under the power of the Slave Crown so that the soldiers can manipulate her. Your mission is to go to Narshe and retrieve the Esper. You enter and fight some small groups of enemies. After that, you will fight a tough enemy, Whelk. Do not hit Whelk when he is in his shell.
You will find the Esper, and ????? will have an odd reaction with it. Vicks and Wedge disappear…
You go through the mines and eventually are trapped and fall into a hole. Terra has a flash back…
Upon finding her, you notice that she is severely wounded and soldiers are coming. With the help of some Moogles-Mog, Kuko, Kutan, Kupan, Kushu, Kurin, Kuro, Kamog, Kupek, Kupop, and Kumama-you save her and defeat the soldiers.
Get out of the mines and head south to the desert in which lies Figaro.
Go back to the throne room and talk to Edgar. A guard will come in and inform you that the Empire is here, Kefka. You will soon find out that Kefka is a jerk (trying to put it nicely) and wants the girl.
Locke escorts Terra to her room and tells her that Edgar and Figaro are truly with the Returners (an anti-Empire group) and only pretend to be with the Empire. Locke then pressures Terra to do what is right.
Arthur then awakes to find his castle ablaze. Kefka did this! You run out, hop on a Chocobo (accompanied by two others), get Locke and Terra, and retreat. The castle will go underground and Kefka will send some Magitek Armors after you. Kill them, and when Terra uses magic for the first time, Edgar and Locke will flip out. You will then find out that Locke and Edgar want Terra to meet Banon, the leader of the Returners. Now, go to South Figaro through the cave to the south.
You will also want to buy Sprint Shoes on top of the weapons and armor in this town. Do not worry about giving the cider to the Old Man just yet. That is for later. Also, go to Duncan's House. You will learn that he is talking to his disciples at Mt. Kolts, which lies north of South Figaro.
Before making your journey through Mt. Kolts, go to the little house outside South Figaro. There, you will learn that Sabin is at the mountains with Duncan.
Go to the hideout in the mountains and talk to Banon. Everyone makes Terra feel a lot of pressure again by calling her their "last ray of hope." They will give her some time to think.
You will have control over Terra. Talk to everyone. You will learn why Locke hates the Empire so much: someone he loved was jailed. That was never clarified later in the game. However, the Empire did kill the woman he loved. You will also learn that Esper power is used to make Magitek weapons, and that the Empire's actions will cause the War of the Magi to reoccur. Terra is to wake up the Esper at Narshe. Talk to Banon and become his "last ray of hope."
All of the sudden, the hideout is attacked and the Empire is coming. Locke goes to slow them down, while the rest of you (Edgar, Sabin, Terra, and Banon) go on a raft ride down the Lete River. Protect Banon. Banon's Health ability is very useful, use it!
You will come across a tough enemy, Ultros. If one of your party members die, do not spend the time to revive him/her. Of course, if Banon is the one killed, you will need to try again.
You are then split up into three groups…
Sabin and Shadow will voyage to Doma, which is east and south of the little house. You will cross the bridge and enter the Imperial Camp. You will hate Kefka even more. Kefka is trying to drive General Leo (who you will actually like) out so that he can destroy Doma himself.
The Empire's troops are about to storm Doma. In Doma, you will gain control over a quite honorable man, Cyan. Fight the Leader and you will re-gain control over Shadow and Sabin.
Next, you will learn of Leo's intelligence and that he has to leave for the Emperor. Leo even makes a point of telling Kefka not to jump the gun. However, Kefka does and poisons the entire castle. The guards begin to drop dead, the king is dead, and even Cyan's family.
Cyan is filled with rage and starts fighting off the Empire alone. Join him in his fight. You need to get out of there and hop into some Magitek Armors. You will then have to fight Magitek Armors (use the Bolt Beam).
Once you are out of there, re-cross the bridge, cross a second bridge, and head south to the Phantom Forest.
You will come across the Phantom Train. You get on, but are stuck for the ride. However, this is no ordinary train, this train takes the deceased to the other side.
You will run into Siegfried (they also refer to him as Ziegfried) and he will take your treasure, even after you defeat him. This will not be the last time you encounter him.
When you get to the Engineer's Room, hit the first and third valves. Then, go to the smokestack and fight the Ghost Train.
Once you get off the train, you will see the people of Doma board, even Elayne and Owain. Marcus runs to them and Elayne says, "My love, you made me so happy. Don't forget me."
Owain then says that he will "take care of Mom."
Next, go to Baren Falls. To the east lies Mobliz and to the south is the Veldt. Shadow leaves you and you will plunge into the falls. You will fight some fish (Piranhas), and then a hard enemy, Rizupas.
You wash up on yet another shore. Walk east alone the mountains to Mobliz and buy some Dried Meat. Once this is done, fight some enemies until you get Gau. Give him the Dried Meat, and he will join your party. He will also tell you of a shiny treasure that is in Crescent Cave to the south.
In Crescent Cave, your treasure is the Diving Helmet. Jump into the water and you will end up in Nikkeah. Finally, take the ferry to South Figaro. This will be the end of Sabin's scenario.
Go to the Item Shop, talk to the merchant, and steal his clothes. Now, the boy will let you through.
After that, steal the clothes from the green soldier (Officer). Talk to the guy near the Relic Shop, he will think it is time for break, and he will leave.
Now, it is time to get the Old Man's cider and bring it to him. Make sure that you steal the merchant's clothes.
Once the Old Man gets his cider, he will tell you of the secret passage. However, he does not remember the password. The choices are Rose Bud, Courage, and Failure. If you still cannot figure it out (I thought it was obvious), the password is Courage.
Get in the house, go up the stairs, enter the first door, and go behind the bookshelf where the passage to the basement is.
In the basement, one of the Empire's generals, Celes, is in trouble because she was a traitor to them. Locke will save her and promise to protect her. Do not forget to get the Clock Key from the soldier.
In the next room, use the Clock Key to reveal a secret door. Go in the door and get out of there.
Now, go to the cave to the west. Remember to hit the Recovery Spring. On your way out, you will be attacked by Tunnelarmor. Use Celes' Runic Skill to absorb his magic (this is the only time I used this in the duration of the game). You are now finished with Locke's scenario.
When you enter Narshe, go left to the secret passage that Locke showed Terra prior. Go through the mines and you will meet up with Arvis (the Old Man who helped Terra escape). You will learn that Narshe is neutral (of course, the Kefka is trying to persuade them to side with the Empire so that they can have the Esper).
Narshe is going to be attacked so you must separate your party into three groups and fight. Again, you must protect Banon. It will be a long battle, so be prepared.
Now you will split your party into two groups: one to stay at Narshe and the other to search for Terra.
Sabin takes the death of his father very badly. Edgar informs Sabin that their father wanted the kingdom divided among both his boys. Sabin thinks that no one cares about the death, and only care about who will take over the throne. The two boys then flip a coin. Sabin won and chose his freedom away from royalty.
Next, go to Basement 1 and shuttle to Kohlingen (which will lie just a little north from where Figaro will end up).
You will then learn that the glowing creature stopped at here and then went south to Jidoor. Go there.
At Jidoor, Shadow is in the café. If you have Locke, go to Rachel's house. There, Locke will reminisce in his past…
Locke takes his love, Rachel, treasure hunting. He stands on a bridge that she knows is about to fall. She dashes to save him, but falls in the process.
Rachel lives, but remembers nothing. Her dad is pissed at Locke, and Locke says, "Wait a minute! She said 'yes!' We were gonna…"
Locke leaves town and returns a year later. She died in an Imperial attack. However, before dying, her memory came back and her last word was Locke's name.
Another woman in town says that Rachel said to her, "If a man named Locke returns, please tell him I love him…"
You will also learn that, in all his agonizing grief, Locke got a man to use herbs and put Rachel into "suspended animation."
In addition, Terra went north to the mountains where Zozo lies. Go there.
In Zozo, you will have to leap from building to building. Near the top, you will fight Dadaluma. After that, you will find Terra. Ramuh (the Lightning Esper) speaks to you. He says that Humans and Espers cannot live together, because Humans defied the trust Espers had in them and started the War of the Magi. The Espers feared that Humans would continue their madness and moved to a different realm.
Twenty years ago, Humans found the Espers, and Gestahl declared his plan to make an invincible army. The Espers then made a door to keep out the Humans.
Ramuh also gives the reason for Terra being so afraid. It is because of her own existence and not being able to accept herself.
You must free the Espers locked in Gestahl's Magitek Research Facility (MRF). Also, after an Esper dies, its power is left in the form of Magicite. Ramuh gives himself to you in hope that the war will not be repeated. Stray, Siren, and Kirin also give themselves to you.
As you begin to walk out, the rest of your party shows up. You will then form two groups: one containing Celes, Locke, and two others to voyage to the MRF, and another group to build the defenses at Narshe. However, you still need a way to cross the ocean to reach the southern continent. Go to Jidoor.
Talk to the Impresario. He informs you that he does not want his performance ruined, nor does he want Maria abducted. So, Locke gets this great idea to use Celes as a decoy, let her get abducted, and the rest of your party will follow Setzer to the airship. However, Ultros wants to spoil your plan.
The opera begins and you will watch the opening scene (which is rather long). Next, take Locke to the Dressing Room (there are doorways between the rows of seats) and talk to Celes. Read the script and have at least an idea of what it says. Take Celes out and perform the scene.
Now, walk Locke out and read Ultros' letter (there is no way to get out of it) and talk to the Impresario. You will then get five minutes to prevent Ultros from dropping the four-ton weight on top of Celes. First, talk to the man in the far right room. He will tell you to hit the far right switch. Do so and go to the far-left room. The door will be no longer locked. When making your way towards Ultros, you will have to fight some rats. Kill the yellow ones first, because they revive the green ones.
Once you reach Ultros, you will fall and fight him. When defeated, the Impresario will scream about how all the heroes are down and cannot save Maria. However, Locke stands up and says that he will save Maria (very predictable if you ask me).
Setzer then comes in and kidnaps Celes (who he thinks is Maria).
Celes is on the ship, but Locke and the others quickly come to her aid. Setzer enters and knows that Celes is not Maria. Celes then informs Setzer of their need for a ship to go to Vector and the MRF.
Setzer ponders Celes' words. He realizes that although the Empire made him rich, they are still evil. He agrees to help you out only if he marries Celes. Surprisingly (sort of), she agrees. Only, however, with the flip of a coin: if it is heads, he will help; if it is tails, she marries him. Heads is flipped up. Celes never worried, for it was a two-headed coin. Setzer keeps his word and helps you.
Next, you may want to travel to Tzen, which lies north of Albrook, and Maranda, which is east of Albrook. Both have good weapons and armor.
When you enter Vector (which looks like a crumbled pyramid), you will notice that everyone is in a panic. Talk to the guy behind the big crate and he will help sneak you in, for he is a Returner sympathizer.
You will soon run into Kefka. The jerk wants to restore the statues. He also just throws the Espers away when he has drained them of all their powers. Take the conveyer belt down to where the Espers were discarded. You will fight Shiva (the Ice Esper) and Ifrit (the Fire Esper). Once they realize that Ramuh entrusted you with his power, they stop. They follow Ramuh's footsteps and give themselves to you.
After that is done, go into the left door, and at least save your game. Then, go through the right door, fight Number 024, and proceed. You will notice many Espers locked in test tubes. They know that you are trying to help and give you their power. Cid and Kefka enter and act as if Celes was a spy the entire time. Locke believes them, but Celes protects and saves them anyway. Cid helps the three remaining party members (Celes is gone) escape. You learn that Cid wants the Emperor to stop the war. You also learn that Cid raised Celes, but she was forced to become a Magitek Knight and did many evil things.
You then go on this train ride thing. Before you reach the end, you will have to fight Number 128, Left Blade, and Right Blade. On your way out, Setzer accompanies you.
Setzer takes you to the airship, and Kefka is super pissed, so he tries to stop you by sending two Cranes after you (hint: Do not use Bolt). Beat them and then automatically fly back to Zozo.
You have control over Maduin. First, go north to the gate. You find a Human (whose name is Madonna) and immediately befriend her. All the other Espers are quite upset because she is a Human, the Human World is full with desire, greed, and loathing, and all that evil is highly infectious.
The next morning, Madonna is gone. You will find her at the gate. Maduin offers for Madonna to stay, but she states that Humans and Espers cannot coexist. He replies with, "How do we know unless we observe for ourselves…?"
They then have a baby and name her Terra.
Two years later, the nexus between the two worlds opens and Humans attack. Gestahl wants to capture the Espers and steal their power. The gate needs to be sealed, but the Elder is the only one who can do so and might die in the process.
Of course, all of this is blamed on Madonna. She then runs to the gate with Terra. Go after her and she says, "Maduin…I'm not their friend…" and they are all sucked in.
Madonna says to Gestahl, "Please…take care…of my baby…" and gives Terra to Gestahl. Gestahl is pleased, for he knows he now has the ultimate weapon: a being with the powers of an Esper and the ability to be manipulated as a Human.
Terra finally understands who she is and is able to continue her journey. Go to Narshe (you are finally able to control the airship).
At Narshe, go to the house with the locked treasure chest inside and follow the Lone Wolf out to where the Esper is. Lone Wolf and Mog will fight and roll off the edge of the cliff, both hanging on for their lives. Save the Mog and he will join your party.
The people at Narshe have decided to battle the Empire. Their plan is to combine Narshe's money with Figaro's machinery. They also want Terra to open the sealed the gate to the Esper World and try to persuade the Espers into helping them. The Espers will attack from the east and the people will attack form the north. More pressure is put on Terra, because she is the only one who can get through to the Espers. Go to the Sealed Gate, which lies east of Vector.
When you reach the gate, Kefka will be there. He was following you all along! He then boasts that he was right in listening to Emperor Gestahl's advice is letting Terra fall "into your hands" to open the gate. You will then fight Kefka.
After a hit or two, Terra gets the gate open and Espers begin to rage through. Kefka retreats, the gate door closes, and rocks fall to seal it shut. Return to your airship.
At Vector, Gestahl claims that he has lost his will to fight and he is stopping the war. Before you "feast and rejoice," you are sent to convince as many soldiers as you can to stop the war. You have four minutes to talk to as many soldiers (even the ones in Magitek Armor).
After that, you will eat with the Empire. Gestahl will ask you a number of questions, and, if you answer them is a certain fashion, you will get a prize. For the correct combination, CLICK HERE
Then, he will get down to business. The Espers have headed towards Crescent Island and Gestahl needs you to convince them that the Empire is no longer the enemy. General Leo is to accompany you. You will find him very polite and compassionate. Locke and Terra head to Albrook.
That night, there will be a short scenario between Celes and Locke. She is still utterly pissed at him for having any doubt in her.
Go to the port on awakening the next morning. You are off to Crescent Island.
On the way, there will be a short dialogue between Leo and Terra. Terra speaks of her insecurities on how she feels she will never be able to love. Leo is compassionate and comforts her, somewhat anyway. Leo leaves, and Shadow enters. He is wise and tells her to not turn into him: a Human void of emotion.
When you dock, you will form two groups: one containing Celes and Leo (you will not have control over this group) and another containing Terra, Locke, and Shadow.
You are awoken by Strago. Relm is trapped in a burning house. You cannot wake Shadow and walk outside to talk to Strago. He begins using magic in attempt to put out the flames. The mayor runs out and has a fit, for magic-use is forbidden. However, the mayor gives in and the entire town (six or so people anyway) starts to use magic to put out the fiery blaze. It is not enough, so Locke, Terra, and Strago all go in. Inside, you will fight Flame Eater, the center of the flame. You find Interceptor with Relm, but more flames come to get you. However, Shadow comes and rescues you. He says that he only took that action for his dog, but perhaps there was something more. Perhaps the Human void of emotion felt something for Relm or any of the others.
Strago then gives in and tells you the story behind The Village of the Mage Warriors, Thamasa.
Long ago, the people who used Magicite to gain power where known as the Mage Warriors. These people were despised by "normal" people and were forced into exile. They took refuge in Thamasa. The descendants of the Mage Warriors are those who dwell in Thamasa today, although their power has weakened.
Your next journey is to the mountains in the west. Strago, Locke, and Terra all go, but Shadow leaves your party again (do not worry, you will encounter him again).
Ultros comes to spoil your party (it is not the first time and it will not be the last). Fight him. In the middle of the fight, Relm comes along. Use her Sketch technique on Ultros. He will then realize that he is nothing more than a stupid octopus. After Ultros is defeated, you cannot just leave Relm there, so she comes along.
Soon, you will find the Espers. Strago tries to leave with Relm, but you are surrounded. Yura (he must be the leader of the Espers) apologizes for the loss of control he and his fellow Espers had on entering the Human World and the damage it caused. You will then automatically go back to Thamasa.
Kefka enters! He is even following the Emperors orders! He starts transforming all the Espers into Magicite (which only happens when they die, so he is murdering them!) with his Magicite Mother Lode.
Leo challenges Kefka to a fight. In the middle of the fight, Kefka disappears. Gestahl then appears, admitting that he deceived Leo, and that his sole purpose is collecting Magicite. However, it is not Gestahl! It is Kefka. In addition, Leo was not really fighting Kefka, it was his shadow. Kefka then kills Leo.
The gate bursts open and Espers come raging through! Kefka turns those Espers all into Magicite also. Kefka then decides he has enough Magicite and leaves.
Leo's funeral then takes place. Interceptor is wounded and Shadow…gone. The airship comes with news that the Emperor is a liar, but the news is too late.
Your next mission is to find the Floating Continent and prevent Kefka and Gestahl from moving the statues out of alignment. You can only have three in your party and are attacked by the Imperial Airforce (IAF) on the way. Something curious approaches…Ultros! This time, however, he is accompanied by Chupon, who will sneeze you off the screen. You will fall and then have to fight Air Force, Laser Gun, and Missile Ray. After you defeat them, you will fall onto the Continent.
Your old friend Shadow (you though he was dead, didn't you?) is there and joins you on your journey. The enemies are rather hard and this is a good place to build levels. You will have the opportunities to save and to leave the Continent.
If you chose to proceed instead of leaving, you will fight Atma Weapon. It is only moderately hard. Shadow then leaves. Walk up to Gestahl and Kefka. Celes comes and Gestahl holds the others by some force. Kefka tells Celes to kill the others. She says, "I wish I'd never been born…" and stabs Kefka! Phew! I thought she was going to kill herself right then and there the first time I played!
Gestahl tell Kefka not to move the statues, and Kefka decides to kill his Emperor right there. Kefka moves the statues, and Shadow comes to save you. Shadow traps Kefka between the statues and lets you escape.
You have six minutes to get out of there (which is more than enough time). When you have the choice to jump onto the airship, do not. Instead, wait until Shadow comes (with only five seconds to spare). If you do not wait for Shadow, you will not see him again for the remainder of your quest.
The statues go crazy and wreck havoc on the entire world. The airship crashes and your entire party is inevitably split up. Even the continents shift. "On that day, the world was changed forever…"
However, if he lives, he awakes and shows you the project he has been working on for the past year. It is the raft. He tells Celes to have faith and to come back and visit him.
In addition, powerful monsters were released on the day the world was changed forever. These monsters were Phunbaba, DoomGaze, and the eight Dragons. The eight Dragons seal away an awesome beast, Crusader, and if you defeat the Dragons, you will the Crusader's power in the form of Magicite.
A woman will also say that you look just like a man (I do not know how that is possible) who was looking for his friends. He went north to Tzen.
At Tzen, you will learn that the Serpent Trench is now above water and the "Cult of Kefka" built a tower there.
You will soon see Sabin holding up a house. Celes has six minutes to go in there and save a child. Your time is quite limited, so either do not get the treasures or (like I did) run from the enemies and get the treasures.
After that, make sure you have purchased the Esper at Tzen (I believe you can also do so in the unaltered world). Next, go to Mobliz in the east.
At Mobliz, you will find Terra, however, she has lost her will to fight and wants to stay to protect the children here. Duane and Katarin are the only other adults. Phunbaba attacks, and Terra tries to take it one on one. Then, Sabin and Celes will fight it. It escapes.
Terra then claims that she has lost her fighting edge and is staying because she would be of no help. Talk to the little boy by the door and he will give you the Fenrir Magicite that Phunbaba dropped.
Now, head west to Nikkeah. Talk to the men in the café. The will tell you that they are going to rob Figaro through a cave that only they know about. Walk up by the weapons merchant, and you will see Edgar. However, he claims to be Gerad. Follow Gerad and hitch a ride on the ship to South Figaro.
At South Figaro, you will learn that some guy came through looking for treasure. They must be speaking of Locke. Another man talks of a sweet little girl who came through. Could that be Relm? You will also learn that Duncan is alive and is meditating north of Narshe.
Make sure that you also talk to Gerad in the room near the inn. Go to the cave west of South Figaro. You will again encounter Sigfried, who says he is going in first to clear the monsters. Follow the thieves all the way into Figaro and go down to Basement 2 (you could not go there before).
Eventually, you will catch up to Gerad. He really is Edgar! Help him fight the four Tentacles. He needed to use the thieves to get into Figaro.
The problem is fixed and Figaro rises to the surface. Ride to Kohlingen.
At the tomb, you will have to fight Dullahan, a moderately hard enemy. Setzer has memories of Daryl…
"Be back before sunset! I'll be waiting for you on our hill."
Daryl never showed. She crashed and her wreck was found a year later. Setzer rebuilt her airship, the Falcon, and put it in the tomb. Now you have wings!
At Zozo, obtain the Rust-Rid and open the path to Mt. Zozo. In the mountain, save your game and release the Storm Dragon. If it is too difficult now, you can come back later to defeat it.
Once you reach the top, read Cyan's letter. Then, go out and talk to him. He wants to come and fight with you and is embarrassed that you read his letters. He will tell you that Gau is fighting in the Veldt to get stronger. Go back to the cliff and get the key to get the Machinery Manual and the Book of Secrets.
After that, get three people in your party and find Gau in the Veldt (it should not take long). When that is done, go inside the cave. Follow the dog to find Shadow (if you never saved Shadow, it will be Relm). Fight two Sr. Behemoths and someone will say, "We can't do anything for her here. Let's take her back to Thamasa."
Shadow then has a nightmare. "You came to fetch me…but I won't be coming back…I want you and the girl to live in a peaceful world," says Shadow to Interceptor.
Then, jump down and get the Terrato Magicite in the eye of the skull. Umaro, the Sasquatch, comes and you will fight him. After you defeat him, Mog will talk to him and he will join your party. Follow him out of there.
In his soul, you will only have control over one person. Walk up the stairs and there will be three doors. Chose the left-most one. Hint: You may want to run from the enemies you obtain while fighting with just one or two people, because they will put you to sleep and kill you.
Once you find your friends, you will have to fight the three Dream Stooges. Kill the one that is up first, because he is the one that will cure and revive the others. The left one uses ice, and the right one uses bolt.
After that, there will be another train sequence. When you see the six treasure chests, hit the switch and remember which ones are closed.
When that sequence is finished, you are in the Narshe Mines. Walk down and then back up. If you do not, you will just keep walking in a circle.
Now, you will end up in Doma. Elayne and Owain speak to you and tell you to save Cyan. He blames himself for the fall of Doma, the death of his family, and even the end of the world. You need to defeat Wrexsoul to save him.
Walk up to the throne room and you will find Wrexsoul. Fighting him is rather tricky because he disappears and will not come back until you are about to expire. Therefore, you will have to kill two (maybe just one) of you party members. Hopefully, he will reappear and you will kill him. However, if he comes back and then disappears, revive your deceased party members and try again.
After you defeat Wrexsoul (which may take a few tries), Cyan is freed from his guilt and is able to continue. Get the sword (Aura) and then you are out of Cyan's nightmare. Cyan will then learn the remainder of his sword techniques. Remember to go back to the throne room and acquire the Alexander Magicite.
Next, go to Figaro and travel. On your way, you will hit something. You will want to stop and explore to enter the Cave to the Ancient Castle…
The Ancient Castle was attacked by Espers 1,000 years ago. Odin was their only hope and saved them. An old legend tells of the battle between Odin and a Sorcerer in the hall of the castle.
Walk in and obtain the Odin Magicite. Also, walk five steps down from the queen's throne (the left one) and hit the A button to reveal a set of stairs in the library. In the library, you will learn that the queen was having an affair with him and said that he was going to "bare" her "soul to him when the war is over." This is another example of Humans and Espers being able to coexist. Go down to the basement and defeat the Blue Dragon. You will also have the opportunity to acquire the Raiden Magicite in exchange for the Odin Magicite.
After that, go back to Mobliz and Katarin is gone. She is pregnant, and Duane took it bad and yelled at her. In the house where Duane is standing, follow the dog behind the bookshelf. There will be a set of stairs leading to a basement, where Terra and Katarin are talking. Duane apologizes, and Phunbaba attacks. You will fight him and two of your party members will be blown off the screen. Terra will come and fight with you. Once Phunbaba is defeated, Terra feels love and wants to fight for the children's future. She then joins your party.
Now, go to Owzer's Mansion (Jidoor), which will be dark inside. Hit the lamp near the stairs and go two the picture of the "lovely lady" (lower left). You will enter a scenario and find Relm, who is trying to repair a painting for Owzer. There is a monster, Chadarnook, inside. Defeat it and save the painting. Relm will join your party and you will obtain the Starlet Magicite.
Once that is accomplished, go to the Fanatic's Tower (I like to refer to it as the Magic Tower because you are forced into using it), which is south of Nikkeah, and make sure that Relm is in your party. Relm will get Strago's attention and he will accompany you for the rest of your mission.
Go back to Thamasa with Relm and Strago in your party. Strago wants to relax, but Gung-ho is hurt. Gung-ho says that the Hidon, a monster he and Strago have been hunting since their youth, inflicted his wounds. Go to Ebot's Rock and go inside the cave. A Treasure Chest inside is hungry and likes to eat Coral. Find him some (twenty-two or so) and he will let you by. Fight the Hidon to avenge Gung-ho. When you return to Thamasa, Gung-ho will be better. He faked the entire thing to give Strago a reason to keep fighting.
The man near the inn says, "North of the Veldt is a small triangular island. The island is home to a monster that could suck up an entire ocean. What do you suppose might happen if it sucked you inside?" Go there and find out! The monster the man was speaking of is called Zone Eater. Allow it to Engulf your entire party. Inside, it is like a cave and you will find Gogo.
Locke is the last member that you need to obtain. Go north and a bit to the east of Tzen, where there is a green patch in the middle of some mountains. It is the Phoenix Cave, and you will bring in two groups (so that one can stand on a switch for the other). You will find the Red Dragon inside too. Find Locke (who has found the Phoenix Magicite), and you will automatically fly to Kohlingen.
At Kohlingen, Locke attempts to revive his beloved Rachel with the Phoenix Magicite. Rachel awakes, but does not have long, for the Magicite was cracked.
Next, you may want to build up your levels before entering the Fanatic's Tower (south of Nikkeah). It is quite hard, for you can only use magic (which is why I like to refer to it as the Magic Tower). Some of the enemies even have on Reflect. If that is the case, cast Reflect on a party member and direct your attack spells toward him/her. Bringing in Sasquatch is also a good idea because he cannot cast magic and can still fight. On the third floor is the White Dragon. After you defeat the Dragon, you may want to leave. If you wish to proceed (which is basically a death wish), then go ahead. On the forth and final floor, you will obtain the Gem Box Relic that allows you to cast two spells in the same round. Then, a bunch of Cult of Kefka members will come and surround you. You must then fight Magi Master, a very difficult enemy. Make sure that you cast Life 3 on a party member immediately. He keeps making Barrier Changes and it is hard to use spells. What I found worked best was Super Balls. You will need many, but they work well. When he is about to expire, he will use Ultima and exterminate your party. However, you outsmarted him by using Life 3! Unfortunately, you cannot use Warp (or a Warp Stone) and will have to walk out.
