Time That Grows And Thrives On Petals

This page will soon be dedicated to a few of my sophomore poems if I can find them. I don't know if you'd think they are better than my new ones, but they certainly had a different style to them that I kind of miss in my writing. I know, however, that with the passing of time everything changes, and that I am also changing, so I must accept the fact that my poems will always keep melting into my head with that same effect of change that finds it's way into my life. I don't know that the changes are always good ones, but I am responsible for making the changes in myself. We all are responsible for our outlooks on life and what things change about us. Don't let the course of events in your life change the person that you are. Don't let time or age influence the way you feel or what you think is right. The worst mistake any of us can ever make is letting ourselves get old.

Sure, our physical appearances will change as we age; our voices will also change and such, but in our minds we must remember who we are and keep ourself at that youthful advantage of always living life to it's fullest and never letting our heads get in the way or our hearts. Thank you for paying attention if you've read through all of this. Now, I am off to search for those sophomore poems. -Amber (May 10, 1999)

MODERN HEART

Moments pretty perfect molded marvelous in clay
His hands majestic wonders to work in modern day
Sitter see an ugly tree with leaves all made of hay
He formed a dome around my heart in picture perfect stay

His eyes, a charming windowed touch
A reach for morrow's wintered such
My lonely soul would never much
Trust a charming windowed trust

Though many moments wouldn't oblige to dayfilled sequence strive
His heart I keep to near me by alone and be alive
Sitter see an ugly tree with hidden words contrive
His soul a trinket of my touch in beauty storm arrive
