HELD ON JULY 1, 2000
I had a great time! It was an unforgetable experience to see and talk with old friends and classmates who had come from all parts of the country for the reunion. Many of whom I had not seen for fifty years!.
My class of 1950 was well represented at the reunion. I took the following pictures at the reunion. I am going to use the maiden names of the ladies because I can not remember all of their married names.
The names of my classmates are as follow:
Margaret Petrelius, Pearl Anderson, Elvia Wanhatalo, Bertha Heikkinen, Jean Dahlman, and Lorraine Hendrickson.
Jerry Maanta, Paul Hyypio, Victor Storhok, Philip Holappa, and William Wanhala.
The picture above is of Harry Niemi who was also in the class of 1950. He came to the reunion late and missed being in our class picture.
The picture above is of Ann Michaelson on the left and Myra Ylitalo on the right. We lived in the same neighborhood when we were growing up.
We never know when we are going to get our fifteen minutes of fame. The following picture appeared in The L'Anse Sentinel on July 5, 2000. The L'Anse Sentinel is published in L'Anse, Michigan. L'Anse is approximately twenty miles South East of Elo. Thats me on the left pointing at the class picture board with Robert Petrelius next to me and Robert's sister, Margaret Petrelius on the right. Margaret was one of my classmates.
