The Story of Inuyasha (In my own words....)
Inuyasha is the story of a 15 year old girl named Kagome Higurashi's journey to the another time period of Japan, the feudal Era (better known as the warring states era.) There, she finds out that she is the reincarnation of a priestess who had died before her arrival, and that she was the bearer of an ancient jewel, the "Shikon no Toma" or the Jewel of Four Souls, which the show refers to it as. Just call it the Sacred Shikon Jewel. She finds a boy named Inuyasha pinned to an ancient tree, bound by arrows shot by a priestess named Kikyo 50 years earlier. Kagome now seeks the help of Inuyasha to regain the shards of the sacred jewel, and restore the feudal era to the way that it was before Kagome's arrival. Others help in Kagome's Quest to gather the shards from the evil and deceving Naraku, to whom has caused a split between Inuyasha and Kikyo. They meet Shippo, after they find out that the Thunder Brothers, Monten and Heten killed Shippo's Father. Inuyasha defeats the Thunder Brothers and Shippo joins Inuyasha and Kagome's Quest for the Sacred Jewel. They meet up with the traveling monk, Miroku in a town where he tries to steal not only Inuyasha's jewel shards, but also Kagome. Miroku's quest is to find and defeat Naraku before a windtunnel imbeded within his right hand literally eats him alive. He joins up with Inuyasha after seeing Inuyasha's power. The Demon Slayer, Sango, joins up with Inuyasha after Naraku slays her entire village, and for controlling her brother, Kohaku. She tries to also kill Inuyasha and avenge her fallen comrades, with help from the deviously evil, Naraku. Inuyasha is one of the best shows that is presently on television overall. It is also presently the highest rated show on Cartoon Network's [adult swim] block, which airs Saturdays-Thursdays at 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Cartoon Network.
