An article in National Geographic several years ago provided
a penetrating picture of God's wings.
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park,
forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes,
perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.
Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick.
When he struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster,
had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings,
instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise.
She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.
When the blaze had arrived and the heat had singed her small body,
the mother had remained steadfast.
She had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.
"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth
shall be thy shield and buckler."
(Psalms 91:4).
the ~Aurthor~ of this Article is UnKnown to me,
I hope They do not mind me sharing the story with all.
I pray mothers who feel the strain of rearing their children will read this,
and instead of taking their childs Life they would do no less then Die for them instead.
I also pray that if your children are here and you can't face raising them or
if you have given birth to a live child and you can't face raising them,
You'll find a want to be Mother to Love and Care for them,
Or a Mother who through no fault of her own has lost her child to death.
For it is not for us to take a life God has so freely given.
Think before you put that child in a trash bag, or along the side of a Highway,
Or before you close the childs eyes forever,,,,,
So PLEASE,, PLEASE,, SEEK out one of the Mothers who will give the child the
LOVE and CARE God intended for it to have. Thank You
Amen
