I use my own rating system on the items in my collection. While you may end up disagreeing with my ranking, please understand that I do take quite a bit of time in creating them. Each disc is evaluated to give three ratings: sound quality, performance, and the all-important overall rating. In a future version of the track listings, I might create ratings for each song and list them.
Remember, the performance component is very subjective...I'm biased towards songs I like for example.
Anyway, when you are viewing the discs, the ratings are in this format:
overall: sound quality / performance
Completely Unplugged | CDR
November 17-18, 1994 | New York City | soundboard | 1.5 (1 / 2)
2 CDRs | Disc 1: 13 tracks, 73:02 Disc 2: 9 tracks, 73:47 |

DBTW Review EDLIS |
DBTW says:
The title says it all, you get the shows as they happend - complete, unedited, rough mix soundboard recordings. Oh my my, the quality is superb, on speed (unlike some of the tapes) and perfectly balanced, plus continuous so you get all the between-song riffing, talk, etc. Unissued tracks reaching heights of perfection include (2) takes of "I Want You," "Hazel" (see separate post for more on "Hazel" from "The Last Waltz"), "Sweet Marie" and an oh-so- fine "My Back Pages", plus the missed take of "LARS" and a superb "Tonight I'll Be Staying.." EDLIS helps out: From: Alan Fraser Which days do the officially released Unplugged tracks come from? Thursday - Tombstone Blues, Desolation Row, Love Minus Zero, With God On Our Side. Friday - Shooting Star, Watchtower, Rainy Day Women, John Brown, Times They Are A'Changin', Dignity, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Like A Rolling Stone. Love Minus Zero is only on the European official CD. Information courtesy of British magazine Mojo, Jan 1995. |
