John Carpenter's idea for HalloweeN 6 was "Michael in Space!" Moustapha Akkad decided to go for a slightly shittier idea. Originally title HalloweeN 666: The Origin of Michael Myers, the title was changed to HalloweeN: The Curse of Michael Myers after filming completed.

Once again, Donald Pleasence reprises his role as Dr. Loomis, for the last time. Pleasence died just after completing this film. Six years after the events of HalloweeN 5, we find out that Myers and the Man in Black have been holding Jamie (J.C. Brandy), since the prison escape. Michael has impregnated Jamie, and the baby is born. Shortly after, Jamie breaks free, with her baby. To protect it from Michael, she leaves the baby in the bathroom of a bus station, and continues runing from Myers. She eventually ends up in a barn, where Myers kills her.

The Strodes, the family of Laurie's adopted father's brother, has just moved into the Myers house. The residents include John (Bradford English) and Debra (Kim Darby) Strode, their son, Tim (Keith Bogart), their daughter, Kara (Marianne Hagan), and her "bastard" son, Danny (Devin Gardner). Danny is hearing voices at night, telling him to kill his family.

Across the street, at Mrs. Blankenship's, lives Tommy Doyle (Paul Rudd), the boy Laurie babysat in HalloweeN. He knows Michael's coming back. He finds Jamie's baby, Stephen, and takes it to the hospital, where he finds Dr. Loomis, who is there about Jamie's death. They agree to meet at the rally that night. Apparently, Halloween is banned in Haddonfield, and college students are rallying to bring it back.

It all comes together when Tommy sees Danny walking home, and takes Danny up to his room. Danny tells Tommy about the voices he hears. Kara joins them, and Tommy explains that Michael is controled by the Curse of the Thorn, an ancient curse which drives him to kill his whole family. Danny is being channeled by the Man in Black to carry on the tradition.

After discovering that Kara's family has been killed, our heroes make their way to the Smiths Grove-Warren County Sanitarium to stop Michael, once and for all. They are introduced to the Thorn Cult, a cult which controls and drives Myers. It is led by the Man in Black, who is revealed to be someone we all know. Once you finish HalloweeN 6, you'll realize that Terror Never Rests in Peace.

The Producers' Cut

The famed HalloweeN 6 Producer's Cut is much better than what we got to see, but is only availible as a bootleg. It involves some quite different scenes, and really changes the whole face of the film. I reccomend you find a copy. I'll get back to you with more. For Producer's Cut pics, go to the pics section.

The Boogeyman's Review

HalloweeN 6, is to most people, the biggest turd ever. Although the whole Thorn thing is stupid, annoying, and retarded, if you look beyond it, it's an alright, somewhat suspenceful movie. Pleasence is obviously on his last legs, which is sad, but he really saves this from shit.
