Test 0009:
Walking Minifig |
Description: |
This test is about getting the walk to look natural at 15fps. We first tried a 4 position walk cycle (like the one illustrated at Thomas Foote's Stop Motion Primer), but then we changed it a bit and I got the hands swinging too. It looks pretty decent, that is if you like to watch russian soldiers marching ;-).
The clip got jerky again. We had to get the camera a lot closer to the set because our house wall was so small (we ran out of bricks, we need to get more of them and fast!) and had to use the standard "tripod".
You'll notice that we used light gray plates between the white brick layers to simulate plaster. It has a nice, realistic feel to it.
