The Arthur Corner Family
Arthur Corner was born on March 29, 1802 in Washington County, Ohio. His father was George Corner, Jr., and his mother was Ann Clark.
On October 23, 1827 in McConnelsville, Morgan Co., Ohio, Arthur Corner married Elizabeth Drake, the daughter of Enos Drake and Jane Daniel.
Elizabeth Drake was born on July 23, 1805 in Loudoun County, Virginia. She died on September 22, 1865 in Drakesville, Davis Co., Iowa and was buried in the Drakesville Cemetery there.
On September 9, 1866 in Morgan County, Ohio, Arthur Corner married Elizabeth Jane Sopher, the daughter of James Sopher and Sarah Daniels.
Elizabeth Sopher was born on November 8, 1821. She and her husband Arthur Corner had no known children.
Arthur Corner died on January 18, 1896 in Drakesville, Davis Co., Iowa and was buried next to his first wife in the Drakesville Cemetery. Elizabeth Jane Sopher Corner died on December 5, 1900 in Drakesville, Davis Co., Iowa and is buried next to her husband in the Drakesville Cemetery. Arthur Corner's headstone carries the inscriptions for both wives. There is a separate headstone for Elizabeth Drake Corner, but it currently is damaged.

- Jane Corner, born Feb. 12, 1830 and died May 18, 1857.
- She married E.W. Reynolds on Aug. 3, 1856.
- Albert Corner, born March 29, 1832 and died Oct. 26, 1866.
- He married Jane Elliott on April 6, 1861.
- George Corner, born Feb. 12, 1834 and died Dec. 21, 1861.
- Julian Corner, born April 19, 1836 and died Oct. 16, 1901.
- He married Mary Ellen Quigley on April 26, 1866.
- Ann Eliza Corner, born Dec. 11, 1838 and died June 5, 1841.
- Clarkson Corner, born Oct. 14, 1841 and died Oct. 15, 1842.
- Ellen Corner, born Nov. 18, 1842 and died Aug. 24, 1917.
- She married William Reed Piper on Nov. 25, 1860.
- Wilberforce Corner, born June 20, 1846 and died Dec. 24, 1867.
