Ash caught Krabby to prove that who could still catch Pokémon. He used Krabby in a Pokémon League
battle. Krabby evolved into Kingler during the battle. Ash still has this Pokémon.
Ash also used Muk in a Pokémon League battle. Muk battled a bellsprout and won the match. Ash still has
this Pokémon.
Ash caught many Tauros' in the Safari Zone. Team Rocket attempted to break into Professor Oak's Pokémon
research facility, but their plan went awry when Ash's herd of Tauros stampeded and sent Team Rocket
blasting off again.
Ash had both of these Pokémon for the shortest of times. Mankey had stolen Ash's Official Pokémon
League cap, but Ash ended up catching Mankey, they won a battle together, then he gave Mankey away.
Ash had Raticate for an even shorter time. While on the St. Anne cruise ship, Ash battled a gentleman and
almost won too when the gentleman called a draw. The man was impressed with Ash's Butterfree which battled
his Raticate so they traded, but Ash realised he didn't want to lose Butterfree so they traded back.
