1. Who are we??
   
   We were a couple of bored students who needed a hobby for the holidays. We (Sheridan and myself) run this place whenever we can. That is in between school and stuff. We have different loves and take care of certain sections of our homepage. We're no computer geeks, as you can tell. But we share a thing for computers so, yeah.
   
   How did we get into the webpage business?
   Well we didn't. We're not making profit out of this. If anything, we're losing money and brain cells out of this that could have gone to better use, like the non-important HSC coming up. Anyway, we are school friends. We were in the same Science class. Ahh here it goes.. the beginning of a success story..
   
   ".....It all began in the Spring of 1999. I believe it was about 1:50pm on a Friday afternoon. We were supposed to be studying for an all-important Science examination, but everyone was talking so the word "study" went straight out the window. There's Sheridan, myself and a couple of other friends chatting about nothing really. This and that. Then somehow we get to the topic of computers. How we did is anyone's guess. I think we were airing our frustration with different homepage providers, how difficult they were and how much they were making us tear our hair out.
   
   The defining moment arrived when Maan (AKA 'myself') suggested, "...why don't we have a universal page together. Same page, same password, easier and better!" - (not in those words, but you get the drift).
   Sheridan agreed. And that was the birth of https://www.angelfire.com/mt/weiss/. And that is where we are now. Sheridan and Maan. Do not be surprised if we become great mill sorry billionaires in the future because of our little idea in Science class...."
   
   Sarah has since gotten in the act! She is a new addition to our little clan, this perfectionist and near-genius has hopped on to the web train to make the best Shippy Page, for all shippers around the world to see. You can see that Shippy page at this place.

2. What is the go with Sheridan?
   
   Sheridan (AKA 'Sheridan') digs the program The Pretender. She has since the show started in February 1997. It's basically goes like this:
   • A gifted man called Jarod is taken from his parents as a wee child when they realised he was a genius
   • they being a private corporation called 'The Centre' who does things some would say was 'unethical' or 'immoral'
   • The Centre exploited Jarod once they acquired him subjecting him to tests, simulations, things he didn't want to do, making him eat wheatgerm and tomato juice for half his life and shutting him from the world for 30 odd years
   • then realising he'll never leave, escaped.
   • He went out into the world to look for his parents and help helpless people along the way
   • all while running (sometimes literally) from this corporation desperate to get their biggest money maker back.
   
   
   The show, unfortunately, was not renewed by NBC after the fourth season in 2000, but TNT agreed to make up to four movies on the dear Pretender, at least giving it some sort of closure though the show can never really be closed =(
   
   That's that story. MY story is I am Maan's friend, Maan is my friend. We run this joint. I look after publicity (or lack thereof), the Pretender Page (you knew that) and the O & E Stuff page. I once had my own page but it bombed out majorly. Trsut me on that. Anything to do with The Pretender I run. Anything to do with O & E I run. The start page can be found HERE.

3. What's Maan's Story?
   
   Maan's story is short, but to make a short story long, one day, I got bored and said 'I wanna make a site'. So I did. And it was the crappiest place I'd seen. So then I said 'I want a better site'. So I went to Angelfire and was looking for tx/files but instead got mt/weiss (which will be explained). I then gave it to friend, and then I went back and now, here we are, our own bosses, staff and critics, Sheridan and Maan, Maan and Sheridan, forever linked by ICQ (thank the skies for ICQ!), writing our HTML, slaving over our PCs at late or early hours, depends how you look at it... and that was the longest sentence in the history of man kind. Told you I'd make a short story long.

   Basically, boredom can lead to good stuff so I hope you enjoy this place, Mount Weiss!

4. What type of a name is Mount Weiss for a page?
   
   First things first: It's Mount Weiss, say it with me 'Mount WICE', rhymes with 'rice'. Good, now we can say it, we can learn of it's origins.

   You see, when I was out getting an address from Angelfire, I had to select from a preconstructed list that was there and they had no 'tx' so I could stick 'files' to the end making it /tx/files.html. The X Files. But they didn't have 'tx' for me.

   So anyway, I scroll down and see 'mt' and think 'Hey, this could be good'. So I take 'mt' and stick 'weiss' to the end. Now the question is, why Mount Weiss (mt/weiss)?

   Because Sheridan likes The Pretender, and the star of that show is Michael T. Weiss. So when I see 'mt' I think 'initials' then I think 'Michael T. Weiss, mt/weiss!'

   Fairly repetitive, no? Basically, that's why it's Mount Weiss (cause 'mt'-'mountain'-'mount'). If you still don't understand, just mail us and we'll reply to any question. Well, almost all of your questions... See ya!

5. What's that motto say on the emblem? Há a Conexão?
   
   It's in Portuguese, and it means "There is the connection". The reason we chose Portuguese, as far as I know, is because it looked good. The letters, they looked good. Now, what does "There is the connection" mean? Two things:

   One: If you look at Highlander, The Pretender and The X Files sayings (which are all at this page), the word 'there' is in each saying. There can be only one... There are pretenders among us... The truth is out there. Pokémon's is 'Gotta catch 'em all', no 'there' there but the second reason...

   "There is the connection" What other connection could there be between The X Files, Highlander, The Pretender and Pokémon? Not much, so Mount Weiss is the connection. "There is the connection", at Mount Weiss. So, I hope that explains some of it. Until next time...Cheers!

6. What's with the Games Page then ay?
   
   Me, me, that's my fault, over here. Sorry sorry sorry for that because I just have not done it you see. But I have started collecting data (to be later processed into information via 6 other steps. See that, I did learn something in IPT) and I will gradually add bits and pieces to different places. Eventually, it will turn into something useful so till then...
