1842 Jun 22 Rappahannock County, Virginia. George MOZINGO made his will. He left a legacy to his daughter Ann GEORGE, and the majority of his estate to Jane TOBIN, provided she remains with me, and keeps my house and cooks and washes for me until my death. If Jane did not perform these duties, then the legacy was to go to whosoever is my housekeeper at the time of my death. Friend George FICKLEN was named executor. The will was produced on 8 July 1844 by John MARTIN, who intermarried with Phebe MOZINGO the daughter of the said decedent ... And William MOZINGO the son of the said decedent appeared and opposed the proof of the said Will. (Probate Record Book B: 172-3).
