Richard and Rev. Samuel Swayze moved to Florida territory which eventually became Mississippi, but the three sons of Mary Swayze appear to have ended up in Louisiana via a stay of a few years in Indiana.
Oddly enough, there is no mention of Jabez Mapes Swayze by anyone on the Internet (that I know of). Conjecture that he is the father of Mary Swayze, who married Ezra Wager, comes from a series of Morris County, New Jersey, deeds that at least appear to be land deals between Jabez Mapes Swayze and his children. Ezra Wager is mentioned with his second wife, Sally, in one of these deeds dated 11 MAY 1801. It's possible that Jabez Mapes Swayze was doing business with his ex-son-in-law as if he were as blood son, although appearances are that "Sally" may have been Mary Swayze's sister. The surname Mapes is closely associated with the clan of Presbyterians that moved from Southold to Morris County, New Jersey, and occurs in the Wager pedigree.
