Richard and Rev. Samuel Swayze moved to Florida territory which eventually became Mississippi, but the three sons of Mary Swayze appear to have ended up in Louisiana via a stay of a few years in Indiana.
According to the 27 MAY 1823 Louisiana marriage record of Daniel D. Wager, his parents Ezra WAGER, and Mary SWESEY are both deceased:
"Daniel D. WAGER, son of Ezra WAGER, deceased and Mary SWESEY, deceased, a native of New York and a resident of this parish [St John the Baptist] for 3 years. Married Marcelline PERILLOU [Perilloux] a minor and resident of this parish, daughter of Leonard PERILLOU, deceased and Eva JACOB, deceased, May 27, 1823. Witnesses are Denis REMONDET, George HYMEL, the bride's tutor, Leon VICNER [WICHNAIRE], Leonard TREGRE and J. Roland MELLISH."
Oddly enough, there is no mention of Jabez Mapes Swayze by anyone on the Internet (that I know of). Conjecture that he is the father of Mary Swayze, who married Ezra Wager, comes from a series of Morris County, New Jersey, deeds that at least appear to be land deals between Jabez Mapes Swayze and his children. Ezra Wager is mentioned with his second wife, Sally, in one of these deeds dated 11 MAY 1801. It's possible that Jabez Mapes Swayze was doing business with his ex-son-in-law as if he were as blood son, although appearances are that "Sally" may have been Mary Swayze's sister.
Both of the Swayze sisters are Ezra Wager's fourth cousins.
