There definitely appears to be two different Sarah Alcocks which have confused genealogists. The Sarah Alcock born 28 DEC 1639 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, was probably the daughter of Thomas and Margery Alcock, who records clearly show settled in Boston in 1630. This other Sarah Alcock also probably married Henry Herrick, 25 MAY 1690, and had the daughter Mary Alcock who married Robert Cue and Samuel Tarbox. It's hard to fathom that the wife of John Giddings would marry a second time one year before her husband's death in 3 MAR 1690/1 (reckoning new and old calendars does not remove the discrepancy); even if there was a mistake for the date of the second marriage, say, 25 MAY 1690 (which some genealogists have freely tried to claim), a courtship of only a few months is unlikely (though not impossible), especially when matters concerning John Giddings estate continued well into 1692.
