(One week later)
"So are you ready to meet Josh?" Kat bit her lip nervously then nodded. David opened the apartment door, and Kat followed him inside. Josh came out of his bedroom and into the living room.
"Josh, this is Katarins Ellers, the girl I believe is perfect for your movie. Kat, this is Josh Hartnett." Josh shook her hand, taking in her wrinkled clothes and messy, frizzy hair. Despite trying his hardest, Josh could not hide his skeptiscism.
"Have you ever acted before?" Kat looked down at the ground.
"A little." Josh smirked.
"In what?"
"School plays, two independant films." Josh nodded.
"Not very experienced." Kat shrugged her shoulders.
"It was nice meeting you josh but I have to get to work." David turned to Josh who shrugged sheepishly.
"That was rude Josh." Josh sighed.
"She wasn't what I was expecting." David crossed his arms over his chest.
"And what were you expecting?"
"Someone with better hygiene for one. Acting experience for another."
"So she needs some work. I'm going to get the best hair stylists, beauticians, and fashion designers to make her look like a star.." Josh laughed.
"You have your work cut out for you>"

(The next day)
"David!" Kat whined. "Can I take off this blindfold?" David laughed as he sat her down in a chair.
"Ok, you can take it off now." Kat took off the blindfold and looked around.
"Where am I and why am I here?"
"We are at Verda's salon. After she does you hair, you're going to make-up and then some designers have sent some clothes over."
"What designers?"
"Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren sent clothes over." Kat's mouth dropped open.
"Are you serious?" David nodded,laughing.
"Ready to start?" Kat nodded and Verda stepped up to the chair. Verda washed Kat's long chesnut hair, using a special smoothing shampoo. She cut off two inches of split ends, then blow dryed and curled it so it fell in soft sexy waves.
"There!" Verda said proudly. The effect was profound.
"On to make-up." Verda said. She put foundation, powder, concealer, and blush on Kat, then moved to her eyes. Verda lined Kat's eyes in smoky black eyeliner then smudged it for dramatic effect. She swept light pink eyeshadow over Kat's lids. Verda finished off the look with clear lip gloss.
"All done." Verda said. Kat was amazed by the transformed woman in the mirror. David led her over to a huge walk in closet. Kat shifted through the clothes until she found the perfect outfit. Kat stepped out of the closet wearing tight faded blue jeans, a pink tye dyed shirt, and a jean jacket over it. David whistled.
"You look amazing." David commented.
"Thank you." Kat said softly. David handed her a script.
"Here's the Pearl harbor script. Choose a scene and there's a special guest to help you read a scene." Kat flipped through the script until she found a scene.
"Found a scene? Good." he motioned to someone. "Kat, meet Ben Affleck. Ben, this is Katarina Ellers." Kat's mouth dropped open as Ben stepped forward.
"It's nice to meet you." Ben said. "What scene have you chosen?"
"The one where you have returned after being presumed dead." Ben nodded.
"Begin when you're ready." Kat cleared her throat and ran through the scene.
"You're going to do just fine." Ben said. Kat smiled.
"Thank you Ben." Ben hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. David smiled smugly.
"You're ready to be a star."
