...lest we forget.

Some perspectives on the attack at Pearl Harbor and Japanese agression during WWII.

Ok, let's just get it over right away. I am an old Navy man and no navy man will ever forget Pearl Harbor and the attack of Dec.7, 1941. I have heard that some people are upset by portrayals of the Japanese as bad guys during WWII. Well, they were the bad guys, and they did some very bad things.

Check out the history of the attack from National Geographic, loaded with links, pictures and related articles. Get a look at the history behind the attack and the events leading up to it.

John H. McGoran was an enlisted man before and during the war. He served in the Pacific theatre, his story is not a professional and polished bit of writing, but it is a sincere and personal look at the life of a sailor at war.

Ginger's diary is exactly that, a diary and letters by a young girl of 17 living at Hickam field on Oahu. Look at the lives of our grandparents and great-grandparents when they were young and the world was at war.

Fukuoka POW camp is not a finished site. But it provides a chilling and sometimes grisly look at the day to day working of a Japanese POW camp. This site can be disturbing, be forewarned.
