Landscapes
My talent with visual images seems to be within a natural setting, especially landscapes. Porbably because its the land and the features that truly capture my eye and my love. To enlarge the picture, click on its image to be taken to its full size.
Cabin on Milton Lake
This is my grandmother's honeymoon cabin which dates back to the 1930's. However my family has been within the area since around 1900. I spent every summer from June to August from the ages of seven to sixteen exploring, swimming, playing, boating, and creating adventures. This is what I call my "Happy Place".
Pink Mandarin
Canada has some of the most spectacular sunsets, but you have to catch it at the moment it becomes more than what you think and more than what you know. Colors abound and they dance and blend together, touching the clouds and rarely extend to grace the earth with a dab of color.
Blue Cloud Mirror
This happened on a day with perfect stillness on the lake, and I just happened to be in the right area. Sometimes with the lake, it distorts what you know is reality and what you think, and unless you ripple the water, confusion can set in.
Wolfy Moon
I was attending Cabin Fever 2000 when this moon entranced sunset occurred. Though the moon is tiny, it still becomes the central image and the dark pallete of pastels allow for a nice transition.
Fallen Brothers
Over on Cadden Lake is a huge grove of birtch trees that are simply beautiful to behold. Even across the lake, their beauty stands out and only increases as you move towards them. However withe the dry spell that had hit the area, many of the beauties were blighted, and this image shows what happens when brothers fall apart.
