Normal Melting Point     - 38.87oC  

- 40oC and -40oF are the same temperature.  This is also very close to the normal melting point of pure mercury.
   

Normal Boiling Point      357o

Known to ancient Chinese, Hindus, and Egyptians.   It has been found in Egyptian Tombs of 1500 BC.
