Thomas Cole was born on July 2,1823 and was the first child of Anthony and Susannah Cole. He was married on ?/?/184? to Frances Lewis (b.5/15/1815-3/17/1875). Her parents were Williiam Lewis and Frances Lynch. Thomas and Frances had four children. They include: Susan Frances Cole b.9/21/1846-3/1/1904, Mary Jane Cole b.9/4/1849-9/11/1879, Elizabeth A. Cole b.?/?/1853-?/?/188?, and Julia Augusta Cole b.8/20/1858-1/6/1946. The home of Thomas And Frances still stands deep in the woods of the Eno river. The home lies on state park property and can be accessed from the Buckquarter creek trail at the Cole mill rd. section of the park. The house is in need of restoration, though there are no plans at this time, we hope to get a campaign going to preserve the home in some way.Thomas died on July 13,1881 and Frances on March 3,1875. They are buried in Pleasant Green cemetary beside his parents, Anthony and Susannah.
