Influences On Action Radio & A.J. Michaels
Andy Yoder has had some indirect influences upon myself and the
station with his writings and books. I talk to Andy on occasion and
he is a really remarkable guy. He has a great wife that is very
supportive of him and his interest in pirate radio. Andy, keep up the
great work that you have over the years!
John T. Arthur has been a great help tyo me in getting the station
started. He served as the maildrop operator for "Box #452" and now
serves as operator of "P.O. Box #1". John has provided me with a lot
of advice and a lot of criticism (well taken here) over the years.
Some material heard on Action Radio was provided to me by him and he
is just a great guy. Some might think of him as a "troll" but we all
have our bad points.
The HF broadcast KUSW
did a lot to influence me into wanting to broadcast on shortwave. The
people that worked there are wonderful people and were very receptive
to me when I was there. I just wish that they were still on the air
and were not bought by "funkamentalist" religious nincompoops.
As much as I hate to admit it,
L.A.D. did serve as an influence to Action Radio. If it
wasn't for him I would not have been able to do the infamous L.A.D.
Show where I played a bunch of songs all dedicated to him. I am sure
that most of you enjoy the famous "fart ride" story. So I guess
L.A.D. is good for something.
