Each year, every team goes to camp with one key question that they must answer in order to determine what sort of season they are going to have. For some they are a matter of what they must do to have a championship season; for others what they must accomplish to take it to the next level and reach the playoffs; and for those less fortunate, what they can do to avoid embarrassment. Broken down by Division, here are the key questions for the 1999-2000 season.
NFC EAST
CARDINALS - Will they still be hungry, or just full of themselves?
COWBOYS - How did a team built on speed get to be so slow?
EAGLES - If I knew Andy Reid, could I hold for place kicks?
GIANTS - Has Jim Fassell learned how to handle a quarterback controversy yet?
REDSKINS - Was the Cooke family the real reason they couldn't stop the run?

VIKINGS - If they don't have the same success as last year, will the personalities start to self-destruct?

FALCONS - Can the "Dirty Birds" handle success?
FORTY-NINERS - Can Jerry Rice accept a diminished role?
PANTHERS - How much will George Siefert's winning percentage fall in one season?
RAMS - How long before Dick Vermeil burns out again?
SAINTS - How is Ricky Williams going to carry the offense through an eight-man front?
