Rumpus Cat

Rumpus Cat is a feirce, hairy member of the tribe who only shows up in the retelling of the Pekes and the Pollicles by Munkustrap. He is a mysterious being who is only seen when terrorizing the Pollicles who come too near or go too far in their mischevious ways. Pekes and Pollicles and Pugs and Poms everywhere fear Rumpus Cat, and run at the very site of him. During the play he seems to be a bit comical, messing up at exactly the funniest moments. However, towards the end he becomes a bit more serious, and all of the "pollicles", which were really jellicles dressed in shoeboxes and bags, have scampered off stage in fright. Munkustrap, who sang the entire tale, and Rumpus Cat bow to Old Deuteronomy, for whom the play is being performed, and are joined by the rest of the Jellicles as Rum Tum Tugger makes a last failed attempt at getting attention with his makeshift bagpipes.
